Post subject:  quick question about spirit of barbs
someone said it was useful against curses. looking at the skill description, it doesnt mention anything about curses, just provides information about thorns damage and poison length reduction.

- does spirit of barbs affect curses on you and the party in the radius?

if the answer to the above question is yes, then ... :

- how does it work? is it just an additional amount of curse length reduction, and if it is, how much? if it works in a different way, please explain?

yep - provides a MASSIVE curse reduction boost, much better than cleansing from what i have seen. Dunno if there is an error in it, but it is very powerful at removing but a curse and psn duration.

incidentally, it will also remove a shrine since shrines are basically positive curses.

so its an amount like fade/cleansing/redemption? just trying to figure out some things

yep - i use the same name everywhere in my gaming endeavors. Keeps things simple and it isn't like anyone else is already going to be using it.

Sob pulses and removes any psn and curses from the group at each pulse.

yea this is what someone had said and i came here to just confirm it... is there a set time in between "pulses", and if so, what amount time that is?

It's maybe 2 seconds. So you are basically immune to poison and all curses are removed almost instantly.

Not instantly enough though for melee druid. You can kill yourself from iron maiden before SoB pulses so it is not a viable strategy against IM.

SoB is probably too good as is, and too easy to get (relatively). Bramble only needs ohm sur and metalgrid/wisp aren't that rare.

u were listening to me and nedder debate yesterday eh :) his massive dr. and oak.. when I said the bers were useless and 50 dr + sob was all u needed.... good debate ole chap
