If your life pool is sufficient to support your ES % with your current mana, diamonds aren't really too necessary.

iirc, 100% PLR is possible, but it won't remove poisons all-together. It will first negate hell's +100% penalty, and then further reduction will reduce the time.

I always carry a slot or two of antidotes either way.

There's a hard cap of 75%PLR.

I would think sapphires in gear since if your mana shield doesn't go down you barely take any dmg anyways?

so would i have to get 175 length reduction to over come the hell penalty and then get the cap? Does poison resists matter at all when Es is on?

pois res is super important as poison bypassed ES completely.

and yeh, 175 PLR is what you want to shoot for.

Have to wear andys imor flesh and 2 starstones in HHG worth it?

also im at 300 energy tal set and about 4 k mana with lvl 5 bo so far no spahires in armor or helm, 1 xsojs though +11 energy and around 22% increase each and no caster boots yet.

Get absolutely owned by psn even with a slot of antidotes think using sob from wisp would be better than all that psn gear?

100 stat pts left and lvl 87

or, what sort of life regen would you need to nullify the poison dmg? >< I know there's some super powerful poison though

a lot some of it gets me down in a few seconds from 1.5k life youd have to use kiras with like 4 uber skulls and some other gear and run prayer all the time lol

i seem to be able to stand in a pack of meele monsters for a while, but casters slay me a lot easier

Casters act as though you have zero re, which is why they kill you quicker.

You'll never be able to negate poison damage through regen.

I know, I was half joking :P, although it certainly would help counter-act a bit of the dmg.

I'm looking at 75% poison res with 150-175% PLR (current gear set up lands me at 155), 2 +1 sorc prayer rings, an insight merc with prayer rings, etc.

It's easy to get a huge mana pool and tank well (w/ maxed TK) if it weren't for Mana Burn mobs, so this is my main concern as an ES sorc on HC. I'm trying to find a balance where I will have a good life pool as well as mana, so even if I get Burnt I will still be able to take a few hits and run away or whatever. The problem here is that when considering taking dmg to my life bubble, now I need to also consider getting some DR/MDR, where as a pure ES build can ignore that. Luckily, Warmth gets 25 MDR at lvl 50, and Frozen Armor comes equipped with MDR & PDR- 25@lvl50 (based on the values Shantu put together in the excel sheet).

So now I'm in a situation where I want to put Rubies, Sapphires, AND Diamonds in my gear, and sockets are limited since I'll likely need to wear Andarials Visage for the 75% PLR.

I'm thinking of stat distribution like: 50 str/dex, 50 energy, the rest in vit. This should allow me enough str to use some decent gear, and will help my health pool to end up around 2-3k(with gear). Through having some pieces like caster boots, etc, getting a big mana pool shouldn't be too difficult.. What do you guys think?

I don't know about that, there are poisons in the game that last like 10+ minutes(literally) that drop me from 12k health to 1 in like 4 seconds, and not even ultras+2x prayers from belts help.

Just craft helms/boots for the PLR.

I was thinking Andy's Visage, Immortal Flesh, Rising Sun (20-30PLR), and something else I don't know yet
