generally its a better idea to use leap than leap attack because leap attack has such a massive ed% bonus that you will kill yourself in areas with iron maiden. you can also use ww as long as you put on a weapon that does no damage to spin through.

He does a shitload of dmg to an item with low phys res (if any). Aka recieving a bigger shitload of dmg from IM.

This is why we don't play hardcore in this mod, it wasn't intended for it. When one of these issues comes up it is no one's fault but your own. Of course we can fix it in the next patch, but you will never get your char back, and in the future you will probably die to some unforeseen glitch/bug/lagspike.

just because you blame "lag" don't mean it actually kills people. I only ever died to "lag" once and it was an fps drop on my old laptop a few years ago. Lag deaths are alot more rare than folks make out.

You lose time.
Anyway problem is HC teams luck different than SC teams. On HC you go for max survival and team buffs, on SC you go for max damage and selfbuffs. Even if it's still team oriented mod, all changes that requires someone to get skill they don't need by themselves will fail - AMP on any necs besides summoners, or res auras on din, these are maxed only as synergy for auradins, IMO it should have stayed an one skill wonder but it's ok.
Other than that game is pretty much SC balanced.

You have to be joking if you think HU is a SC oriented mod. The difficulty of this mod is not that extreme.. seriously. The top tier HC players RARELY die to anything. The mod is perfectly fine for HC. The only issue of course.. is not having the best servers God has to offer.. obviously that is always against you. Lag deaths are rare but they still happen much more then you think. That is simply a risk you take playing HC though.

Death is what makes HC enjoyable... unlike SC when you die you don't comeback.

Whatever suites you. I don't like HC in D2 overall. I like death system when you lose something if you fail but not in HnS games. I like ODINS(one day in no saves) challanges in FF or DS2 hardcore mode with just 3 saves no checkpoints.

Of course in the end It's always personal preference. There is not much challenge in SC in my opinion and there is no excitement when your technically invicinble. I mean that in the sense that there is no fear in death. In HC once you die your done. That makes the journey much more exciting. I've had many many close deaths and that alone has made my experience on HC all the better.

I ran into like 10 blizzards in one of the boss portals in Hell Tundra and was under like 10% life on a Lvl 100 HC character. I managed to juv before I died but It's experiences like this that make HC amazing.

In the end it is still personal preference but I say this. If the mod was designed for SC difficulty and there are Lvl 100s on HC it must make you ask the simple question of whether or not the mod is difficult enough. It obviously is not difficult enough. Of course on SoftCore many players would complain otherwise.

I always see room for improvement regarding difficulty. There should always be a constant increase in difficulty as player knoweldge and skill easily surpasses the standard eventually. I don't think HU has had a significant boost in difficulty in a long time.

I remember JarL comparing it to Hello Kitty in a thread on here and hes right. Of course there would be a huge outcry amongst SoftCore players if increased difficulty measures prevailed.

The reason I don't play HC is threefold:
A. Game is buggy(izzy2 portal)
B. Servers crash and lag constantly
C. It's not any harder than SC(just more of a grind, which I already dislike)

I really only die under a few circumstances:
-I'm in areas way above my level.
-Server lags/crashes and I'm dead when I finally drop(Zerolag servers I don't even play in anymore they're just constantly failing)
-Random circumstances where mobs have extra fast, extra strong, fanat, conc, might, etc.

Even when I do die, the loss of experience is punishment enough, god forbid I had to remake a char to level 95.

No? Boosting monster hp to what it was before 1.21x update should be coming. As we all know dead monsters don't do any damage, so if you can't kill them in one hit they oppose a threat, X more players and you'll end with harder enemies without - if you don't like - more stronger-dmg-wise foes.
If I'm following that right Soulmancer HAVEN'T lowered diff because guys asked for it but because he wanted more NEW ppl to find HU hm... entertaining.
Like I said it 2 or 3 times already - you can easily switch minimal spawn to 5ppl players and divide all normal foes hp by 1/3 to keep it as it is but keep nm/hell more harder.
Soulmancer went easier way, he just lowered hp across the board making hell areas easily cleared by chars that normally would take 100% more time making it NON effectively. But it's HIS mod.
