Note: This is for on old version and has been discontinued until I have time to make the whole updating process easier for everyone.

HULaunch can be used to configure HU clientside edits, and to download and setup the correct mod packages whenever there is an update. It can also be used to launch the game, multiple times if required, with each window having it's own unique settings.

Install instructions:
Non D2SE:

Extract the base to your HU folder and run D2Launch.exe
Click the button in the top right corner when running for the first time, or when installing a HULaunch update and delete and Data folder if your HU folder!


D2SE
Extract the base to your HU folder inside your MODS directory and start D2SE. Highlight HU and click the CONFIGURE MOD button to set everything up for D2SE and open HULaunch.
Click the button in the top right corner when running for the first time, or when installing a HULaunch update

How to HULaunch:
Check boxes:
D2SE User: Tick if you are using D2SE BEFORE configuring anything else
Text Edits: If ticked, will enable the text edits listed below
D2Client Edits: If ticked, will enable the D2Client edits below
D2Gfx Edits: If ticked,will enable the D2Gfx edits below
No Sound: Enable/disable sound
Windowed: Open game in windowed mode
LITE: Tells HU launch what package you are using, or want to download. On for Lite, off for Full

Buttons:
Config (Top Right): Checks if there are more up to date HU launch files ready to set up. Click this whenever you download a HULaunch update!
Update Core: Downloads the most up to date core,(looks at D2SE checkbox to see what core is needed)
Update MOD: Downloads most up to patch (checks LITE check box to see what version to download)
Database: Opens most up to date HU item list
Update Edits: Used to update clientside edits.Only if more up todate edits are available
D2ModSetup: runs D2ModSetup
Launch Hell Unleashed: Launch the game with the desired settings

HULaunch Changelog
0.0.3:
1: Finished GUI, added better buttons.
2: Added new version checker button that searches the patch directory for a HULaunch folder. If one is found, it will remove all edits, revert to default settings and overwrite any out of date files with the ones found in the Patch directory, then clear the patch directory and relaunch HULaunch.
3: Added new text file to the func folder that tells HULoad the path of the image file for the new buttons.
4: Removed some old code that was pointing to the wrong path for Diablo II.exe (Fixes the Launch Game button)
5: Added D2ModSetup button. If the game starts in 800x600, you just need to exit and click this button then relaunch the game. Only required after fully installing/uninstalling all edits

Note If you are a non D2SE user, + using glide, selecting the windowed option will disable glide. To play windowed with glide, set the option in your glide settings and set HULaunch windowed mode OFF.

if we are using d2se to run will it still work if i just add the files

move the data folder into the hell unleashed folder for d2se. When you start d2se and select HU, make sure the -direct and -txt boxes (bottom right of the screen) are checked.

static animation removed - good
plague jav expanding cloud removed - good
lightningwall released bolts removed - baals 1st minions??
glasyas fire/cold mass explosion had its cold explosions removed - good
siege beists screenshake removed - really good
all fire size reduced to small - good
assassins fireblast made more funky looking - still need to test
catapults attacks removed - now I get hit from invisible things :(

all skills vailable on left click too btw.

I'll make another set another day with the catapults missiles back in. I've only just got home tonight and I wanna spend a little time playing to relax now.

I'll just leave things in until then I dont find I lag that bad except with tons of skeletons haha

I see an issue with running in -direct -txt mode. for some reason, when I do, it starts using the old skill desc, etc. etc.

All the new item images stop working too. I tried extracting every file from the mpq too but running in -direct -txt mode is making act 1 mercs show up and stuff (even though I'm using files from the new patch). if I run it without the -direct switch all is fine. I'm not sure what the issue is, but I'll get back to you on it.

Updated with a set tht leave the catapults in.

I also removed the cloud from prime poison nova (defilers spam it in wsk) and the deris from hurricane.

there are also string files included that fix the uniques showing us as "An Evil Force"

Bcos in MPQ there are only new BINs and old TXT so using -txt creates new bins for you from mpq :-) just run -direct and update rar/zip file with BINs only.

no, all new files are in the mpq. I run in -direct -txt mode just fine with no issues. It caused problems before becuase blue accidentaly made a typo when packing the patch. Thats why it was reading the old bins. All the .txts are in the mpq though.
