Ok, so far I really like hell unleashed, but I'm having a serious problem. Every time I kill Tobial in act 1, my game crashes as soon as he dies. I've tried everything that I can think of to fix the problem. Please somebody help. Some information: I have hell unleashed solo version 1.21 I'm running windows vista. I've tried uninstalling hell unleashed, and diablo 2 and reinstalling them both fresh. I've tried running it in 2d mode and 3d mode, happens in both. I can't equip boots, gloves, belts, rings or amulets on my merc, it just says "I can't use that" when I installed the mod, I tried running D2Mod Setup, but it says "cannot find required dll. if diablo is running you cannot setup this mod. quit diablo and try again" even though I don't have diablo running. If I try running D2Mod Setup as administrator I get this message "error loading .\d2mod.dll the specific module cannot be found" but d2mod.dll is in my diablo 2 folder right with d2mod setup. I was using plugy, but after I reinstalled diablo and hell unleashed I decided not to install plugy until after this problem was fixed. I'm not using any other mods. I'm really hoping somebody can help me with this problem because I really like this mod. |

Do you have multiple D2 folders on your computer? Sounds like the problem with the the dll. On the bright side, you can test if it is workign quickly by just trying to equip your merc rather than running down to Tobial

I only have one diablo 2 folder, it's currently installed in c:\program files\diabloII I'm about to uninstall and reinstall directly to C:\diabloII I don't know if that will fix anything, but I ran into that problem with vista on a different game so it's worth a try I guess. |

run d2modsetup. If it asks you to remove, say yes and run it again till it asks to install. |

ok I got it to work. When I was running d2modsetup before it couldn't find the dll. installing directly to c:\diabloII worked, it's able to find the dll and d2modsetup worked finally. I hate vista. |

Not working at all for me. I tried to reinstall the mod and it says Successfully complete. This setup is a lie, when I run it as admin it cannot find .dll When I run it normaly, it "completes" the setup but im still having crashes. I put it in c:/DiabloII and still does the same... ho God.

What version of d2 do you have installed. Did you come from 1.12+ or from below 1.10. Have you set compatibility to XP servicepack2/disabled desktop decomposition and themes. Are you using the .bat file to run? |

My brother once had a problem with "missing dll" messages when running d2modsetup on Win7. I never found the source of that problem, but when we used D2SE the problem never occurred, perhaps since I don't think you need to deal with demodsetup with D2SE. |
