Post subject:  apparently not installed properly

so it hasnt told me that im not installed correctly (even after getting to hell baal etc, not like i just havent played), but ive noticed a few things that seem not updated.

Skele Mages say "archer" but the look is mages (they have colored balls in their hands like the old mages) and shoot elemental balls. havent actually checked what type of damage they do though by fighting phys immune enemies.

Lower Resist tooltip says 24 mana but SEEMS to cost 14 in use.

Warmth tooltip "increases mana recovery rate and magic damage reduction" other than skilll level is all it sais, then when i go to try cast it its not actually on either click and doesnt show up, also cant select it by clicking on it in the skill tree when no points are available. (major one)

Sanctuary tooltip doesnt say anything about magic peirce, not sure if its supposed to and havent checked if it actually does or not.

not sure what else im missing but they are some major ones that i have noticed. I'm sure there is more

Can anyone help? suggestions?

Sanctuary no longer has magic pierce. its %dmg to foh when active now (based on hard points).

the LR mana cost could either be a display bug (other necros check this?) or b/c of install.

the warmth issue is most likely an install issue.

I would suggest trying the d2modsetup.bat file and uninstall/install from that, see if it fixes it. If not, I would re-download HU and make a new directory folder for it. You may have a bad file from the 1.13g download, a file may be missing, or a file could be corrupted. Easiest way to fix install issues is to just delete ur HU folder, and make a new d2 1.10 folder to install HU into.

sanctuary and foh tooltip show nothing of what u said,

and yes possibly, the lr isnt a big problem cause in trial it seems to be as it should just the tooltip sais otherwise.

i tried d2modsetup.bat multiple times and it didnt fix a thing.

i tried overwriting the 1.13g again to check if there was something i missed. this also didnt help.

i am currently doing a clean cd install to back up and then re-install from scratch.

Another possible issue might be my data folder, i have one as i have edits i have created. any opinions on that? suggestions?

i always hear ppl say to delete data folder when something goes wrong.

you could try that and see if it fixes the issue. If not, just doing a clean reinstall of 1.10 and then reinstalling HU should fix the issue.

If you modified something with the old mpq file and kept all of them in data folder that's probably your issue. Seems you using the old skills.txt.

thank you hinky, i searched for skills.txt , found one in my data folder one in my ../ deleted the one in my data folder. it fixed my warmth issue but the archers are still in the same boat, any other files i should check?

edit: i deleted my data/global/excel folder and that seems to have fixed everything. Thank you for the contribution guys :) appreciate it

U should delete data folder if u have its dont needed for this patch and just makes errors and wrong skills.

The other file was probably the string one. I though you had a custon ui, that's why I didn't say to delete data folder, but it's actually the best way ^^
