Hey guys, been a while. So I recently upgraded to Windows 7 and it's been giving me all sorts of issues. I'm running everything in compatibility mode with XP, and I still continue to get the same error. I get this when trying to run the D2ModSetup There was a problem starting .\d2mod.dll The specific module could not be found I read through all of the windows 7 help stuff but there was only one mention of this and no one said how it could be fixed. Can anyone offer me any help? I would really like to start playing again |

What directory do you have this installed? |

If it's there, then consider searching the forum for the solutions (for Vista OS, but worth trying) other people have found for this problem. I use Win7 too (Starter Ed.), and aside from graphical glitches (I had to disable Desktop Composition) it's been working fine. I do run under the Administrator account though, so all programs I run are allowed to do or destroy whatever they want. |

I think I recall that error when I had it in program files when I switched from vista (where it didn't matter as long as you gave your self all privileges) to windows7 (where that did not work). and had to have the install in C/HU or on the desktop like others have done. |
