 Post subject: HU in Ubuntu?

I want to reinstall Ubuntu and I want to ask if someone is running HU in ubuntu? If so what Ubuntu version and how do you install it?

I haven't done it. But I don't think the version of ubuntu matters does it? It's the windows emulator you choose.

Be interesting to know if it works on a windows emulator.

I used to play under ubuntu before the high res version appeared (Don't think it really matters anyway). Only thing you need is write a new .bat file since they won't work in linux as far as i know. Of course need wine installed. Can't remember every step i did, but i can confirm that you can install HU on ubuntu and like oZio said the version doesn't really matter.

Thanks for the answers...for what i understand u don't need the bat file anymore to run the game...so I think I dont need it:)...opinions?

I wasnt talking about the game launcher, but d2ModSetup that extract d2mod.dll in sys32 and add hu.reg for programming the realm. Running hu.reg isn't much a problem i think, so the thing left to do is find how to put that dll in your system. Except that, you should be fine to go with running the game in -direct -txt.
