"Error 22: A critical error has occurred while initializing DirectDraw." I get that when trying to start HU. I got the new patch files installed and tried changing my video settings to no avail. Any input on what's causing this error is greatly appreciated. UPDATE: I installed the new directX, now it gives me "Error 25: A critical error has occurred while initializing Direct3D" lol.... updated drive, updated error rofl |

This is an old bug that pops up every now and then, its a d2 issue not from the mod itself. Thanks Dew. I downloaded and installed DirectX, ran the vid test, no additional options were available and I still get the same error when running HU. Is there another step I'm missing? |

There may be some settings in your registry, but if you haven't used it you can ignore this. Anything special happening in a log like d2ddmmyy.txt in your HUdir or in the eventlog (start run eventvwr) of your system? What happens when you start -> run -> dxdiag and do the test(s) on the display tab? |

well, after getting directx, I am able to play in windowed mode, full screen still gives me the error. Whatever it works on my laptop now! Thanks for everyone's input |
