My friend is attempting to install the mod but has run into trouble. He downloaded D2 and LoD from blizzard's site, which auto-installs them in separate folders. He put all the patch files in the D2 folder, then the mod, and when he attempts to run d2modsetup.bat it says he is missing required dll. Any thoughts? Cheers. |

Just to make sure, its the simple things we miss.. i d/ld from blizzard and had no issues whatsoever.. During the d/l process, did he ever pause and move teh folder for any reason, if he did, it would make 2 different folders with partial d2 files in each. Next, after d/lin 1.12 or whatever, you changed to 1.10 first I assume from your text. After doing this, you run the modsetup and it tells you that your missing required dll...what dll is it missing exactly, does it give a specific name? There is a possibility that he had a corrupted d/l of Hu, as it has happened before, if anything, re copy/paste the 1.10 patch over the files, the extract hu into the folder, then try the modsetup again. I would assume he made a backup folder of d2, as i got tired of reinstalling every time i messed up. Just makes life easier is all. |
