So recently noticed my antivirus was shut off and of course i have some virus/malware/rootkit thing. anytime i google something and click on the link i get redirected to nailedsearchsystem.com which i googled but of course cant find anything on because it just redirects me.

Tried running virus scan on McAfee but it just reads some error msg and wont run the scan. Tried in safe mode same result. Cant seem to find anything odd running using procexp or task manager. Not sure what to do.
haven't downloaded anything recently either

windows laptop vista is my OS

http://www.microsoft.com/security/pc-security/mse.aspx it never failed me. You can purchase nod32 licence as well, it's (imo) the best avir around, written in assembly from begin.

Scan your computer with Spybot Search & Destroy as well and I also uses MS Security Essentials since it's free and effective.
