Heya recently my main laptop died on me...  I have to use my old laptop which is preaty old school.Im using the High ress mod version It works ok just the FPS drops realy low at times...I ran the D2video test and choosen Directdraw hoping it would help, game wont start at all on anything other then 3dfx(aka Glide?) settings Is it only runnable on the High ress in that mode?Perhaps my instalation is broken... |

Actually direct draw crashes on me in high res when I run full screen. I have to run direct draw video mode in windowed mode or else it crashes on me. Also it helps to run glide-init.exe to tweak the glide settings for optinum FPS. One major tip for the glide settings. Under the renderer menu set buffer-texture-size to 256x256. Having it at a higher number will massively slow down your FPS (sometimes even 4x or more difference). |

Thank you.That little trick with buffer texture size helped a lot, without any other drastic changes. Cheers. |
