 Post subject: Server hosting since beta patch.....

The main thing I've noticed is constant crashing. Pre-beta the D2GS software consumed anywhere from 60,000K-90,000K memory usage via task manager. The D2GS software crashed my server a few minutes ago @ 757,000k usage. looks to be a leak somewhere.

Im running a quad @ 3.92 ghz, 8gigs ram, and the hosting files are on a SSD. Should be plenty of power to host 10 year old software.

Was the highres included with the server side package? If so, you should just delete it and remove the line from the d2mod.ini as its using up resources when it's not actually needed. The only thing that is needed is the patch server side. Both the new d2mod plugins can be ran client side only.

That might solve it. If not, upload your debug log from the server folder.

Sounds like a really good idea actually. Considering a new memory leak could only result from a change of hard coding and the only change in hard coding being the plugins probably the best spot to hit. I'll be making a new server side patch.

Bumping an old thread because we're having the same problem again. I had the day off work and played hu off n on most of the day. I've experienced 5 crashes today alone. After this last crash, I opened task manager and noticed d2gs was using 25% of my cpu and 2 GIGS!! of ram. That's a far cry form 60 megs and 0% usage.

Has something been changed in the past couple days?

no clue what could be causing it myself since nothing should have changed since the ladder reset.

changed replenish rate of throwing wpns? I'd change it to 2-3 secs and see, lmk if you need dll.

the replenish rate edit should have been in since the early stages of beta (to triggering every 1 second instead of 5). Considering we had a stable period with the replenish edits present I can't see how it would be involved.
