? But what are you doing? Are you sure you have game.exe and diabloii.exe in your game folder? If you have wrong loader then you won't run the game.
Loader is from sticky topic viewtopic.php?f=9&t=1288. If it doesn't work then reinstall game.

What's your AVir btw?

You could assing ntfs permissions everyone deny to the file, then reboot. You should be able to delete it then, maybe after taking ownership of the file.

I would also advise to you start a cmd.exe and type : netstat -a
14 svchost processes sounds like a lot?

NTFS = probably the file system on the hard drive in that windows box (technically, this could also be fat/fat32 and then you cannot set permissions)

If you right click on the file via explorer and you have options to set security, you can set that Everyone (you can select this group from a list) cannot acccess this file.

The reason I gave you this option is that there is probably some process (virus/trojan/malware/etc lol) which has the unwanted file in use, if everyone has Deny permissions for that file, the process also cannot access that file and you can remove it, maybe after after adjusting the NTFS permissions again, so that you can access the file.

Mind you, this is with the assumption that windows has the logic that everyone is truely everyone (not sure if this is still the case with later windows versions).
