In Short - When opening the hirelings inventory pressing O; It is the same as normal D2; whereby I can equip hat/weapon/shield/armor. However when an item goes green it will make the equip sound but not actually equip.

I have installed/uninstalled the mod 3 times and d2 twice.

So I am really lost to why this is; everything else works.

Thanks!

"However when an item goes green it will make the equip sound but not actually equip."

typically when that happens it means that you're trying to replace an item with str on it, and after removing that item you would not have enough str to equip the 'green' items you're trying to equip. If this is not the case, then it's probably a bug..

I can not put any items on the mercenary at all. So it can not be replacing anything.

If you don't see places for rings belt boots etc on your merc, your installation isn't finished.

Depending on your OS, you may need to run D2ModSetup.bat with admin rights.

Right click -> run as administrator doesn't work.

I have full access to my laptop as I am the only user in the Admin group.

I am using x32 Windows Vista. Not sure whats wrong and yes I do not see places for them but I don't know whats wrong with my installation as I have done all the instructions and reinstalled etc.

Any clues as to why that doesn't work?
(what exactly happens when you do that?)

Oh I am sorry but it does not work due to the following.

Error loading . \d2mod.dll

The specified module could not be found

Reminder my installation is C:\DiabloII
