Hi guys,

Stumbled upon this mod this week and I thought I'd give it a whirl.

I downloaded the clients from Blizzard and installed both D2 and LoD and used the rar file on the Hell Unleashed website to downgrade to 1.10 and then followed the instructions on the site to install the single player version, but I just can't get it to work. Initially, I was having an 'insert CD' message, as Im at uni and left my discs back home so I tried a No-CD patch. After putting that on the game loads and I can get to the character selection screen, then the game crashes. Has anyone got any experience on solving this or am I just going to have to wait till I get home to bring my discs to uni?

Im running WIndows 7 64bit if that helps anyone at all.

I tried the newloader file in one of the top threads, but I was getting nowhere with it. Initially AVG treats it as a Trojan, but even allowing it won't work, as it needs a storm.dll file.

Also, I was getting a 'cant find anti-hack.exe' message from loading the bat file. Taking that out seemed to solve it, but I can't get any further.

Any help would be appreciated.

Ok, I've reinstalled it several times.

I can load it up in windowed mode, but at the character selection screen the 'Convert to Hell Unleashed' button is darkened and unusable and if I try to go into a game I get an 'unhandled exception: access_violation (c0000005)' and the game crashes. I've searched for a solution, but it just seems that people post 'oh I've fixed it' without saying how. Has anyone got any suggestions please? Just basically hit a brick wall that I cant see a way around. Everythings running in XP compatability and I've tried everything I've found so far.

The game menu says Im running 1.10 and D2 Mod system 1.03

Are you using the version from this forum post: viewtopic.php?f=8&t=2485?

It almost sounds like you are running an older version of the mod.

Hi Blue,

Thanks for replying. I managed to get it to work with the new files (the ones in the link) earlier today so I can get online now. The 1.21 solo edition doesn't seem to want to work at all though, unless I'm missing something. The 1.3 version online is fine. Is there any scheduled date for the solo version of 1.3 yet or is it a case of its ready when its done? I'm new to the whole modding area.

ya - I basically dropped the ball on the solo version and am way delayed on it.
Going to make a serious effort to figure out what is different between solo/multi and then get the new changes implemented. Going to take some time though (at least 2 weeks) :( I am pretty noob to the whole modding thing - I'm just doin this round b/c Soulmancer is working on other projects and let the community put together a balance patch.
