Just made my first Fortitude, and I noticed it doesn't add 300% ed (Like it says.) instead, it adds 100%, but still says 300. Any idea? |

are you basing this on what your character damage screen displays? If so - keep in mind that off weapon (%ED that isn't listed on a weapon but is rather on something like armor), is calculated differently than on weapon %ED so you willl see different results. |

Just for sake of argument can you show us the formula for how it's calculated on weapon vs. off weapons? I'd really hate to see that Lo rune go to waste. |

http://classic.battle.net/diablo2exp/ba ... ters.shtml scroll down to 'character attributes' for formula... "+x % Enhanced Damage jewels in weapons enhances the weapon damage directly, but if you place the jewels in armor/shield/helm, the bonus will be added along with the Stats-bonus and skills. " |

This is a more detailed discussion on damage calculations: http://www.mrfixitonline.com/viewtopic. ... sc&start=2 you may find it useful as well as the link that Steel posted. |

According to that website, blue +X% damage from non weapons is still X. I don't get it. Waste of my only High Rune. That's lame as fuck. |

I am sorry, I still don't understand the problem. Are you saying, the runeword displays +100% Enhanced Damage? |

It lists it as 300%. But it only adds 100% (Tested with merc wearing 0 gear.) I'm not annoyed my damage didn't go up, I'm annoyed that my mercs only went up by 2k. I just feel like it's a wasted Lo rune. I guess I'm supposed to wait until 90, and just get my a2 merc an eth War? |

It is 300%, you can't add 100%ED to an item and make it show 300%. It Automatically shows the exact stats the item has. Its Skill ED% not Weapon ED% they are applied in a completely diff way. As a general rune, skill ED is pretty worthless beside raw weapon damage. A melee char gets a very small damage benefit from maxing his skills early game because the weapon damage is so low. |

ya, what everyone else is saying is correct. There is no bug, just mathematical complexities in how damage is calculated. |

Still sucks balls to not have known that before making the armor. :/ Thanks for the info, though. This is still a learning experience for me. |
