 Post subject: Synergy problem

Hey guys, i seem to have a pretty severe issue with the synergies. For example:
Valkyrie: base health 500
Decoy: Valkyrie hp +10%
Valkyrie on lvl 1 with 1 point on Decoy : 550 hp (ok this is fine)
Valkyrie on lvl 20 with 1 point on Decoy 2550 or so
Valkyrie on lvl 20 with 2+ points on Decoy 2600,2650 etc.
It gives the hp based on the lvl 1 spell.

Is this intended?
Then i've tested with a lightning sorc and it didn't give the dmg as it should have. (had 1-226 dmg with 16% synergie bonus with Charged bolt, put 1 more point in it, it became 1-234 instead of 262)

I'm wondering if for the charged bolt issue that the way the calculation works is once the synergy bonus is added to the overall damage, it then splits the damage among how many bolts there are. This may or may not be true, but it's the only theory that I have.

About the Valkyrie issue, that IS strange. I suppose it doesn't really help wasting so many points into decoy at all. Thanks for the heads up.

EDIT: nevermind, i was sleepy while replying to this post and misread lol. :oops: :lol:

It was Lightning not Charged Bolt, so it think it's not the case. Anyways i've tested it with several spells and there's an issue with every one of them. Oh and i've encountered similar problems with Golemancer necro, every point in Golem Mastery should give them +30% life yet it gives them about 100-150 hp at max.

I believe confusion with the lightning sorc is that synergies don't apply to the already synergized dmg. Let me use a simple example:

You do 100 dmg. a 16% synergy boosts it to 116 dmg. Another point in that synergy will boost it to 132 dmg [100 x (2x16%)], not 134 dmg (116 x 16%). Of course, the game screen never shows you the unsynergized value, so it is hard to see that just by adding points.

As for the valk, dunno. Sounds like the synergy is only hitting the base HP to me. I imagine that is something that Blizzard designed, or maybe it was done to keep valk's in check. Given how well they tank *with* that synergy system, I don't see a problem. Valks seem perfectly effective as they are.

yeh, thats 50hp per point in normal. double it for hell. they are fine as far as tanking. Nothing beats a good decoy though.
