I checked the files and eventually found that the issue is that Wirt'sLegacy is apparently not a jewel. It looks like a jewel, and generally acts like a jewel, but it has a unique code in the files that separates it from jewels. "War" using a Facet would work, as would a rare or magic jewel (only AkaraRing can receive crafted or tempered jewels). I'll add this to my list of suggestions for v1.9 (I might be able to either tell the files that Wirt's is equivalent to a jewel for runewords, or check if jewel-using runewords can be cloned to use Wirt'sLegacy). I'm pretty sure that if a player were to use FindItem on CowKing and receive a rare jewel from the corpse, then that rare jewel would not actually be a jewel as far as runewords are concerned, so consider ignoring it or storing it separately from your other rare jewels. I haven't run that test, but I don't think it's worth taking the chance.
