i know purity is prob best for shield but looking for some help on rest any suggestions would be great

Seraphs ammy OR Telling+Credendum OR maybe a holy ammy with +3 def?
Iron armor (+3 def)
Silkweaves
Hellmouths
Hoto with + prayer etc
Arach or even Lenymo
CoA, Kiras, rare/crafted

If you wanted the guy to be total help, then yea holy craft helm +2 pally would be prime, could have defiance rockin with prayer and insight on merc would be good to, and put immortal flesh on to boost his prayer-since only +3 to you, but still better than arach//lenymo.
And are you going for full prayer, or holy bolt or both?

I use mancer set (+7 skills total), War, purity/dscale, 2 pally rings with life. Gives me max res when cursed, 6500 life, 130-170k def with frozen armor. Insight+dscale is probably best but I don't have a good scepter to make it in.

going main skill as prayer i think like i say im testing on sp first to see the ablity to solo help a poor group or even a godly group just trying to get good idead of gear ill need to test and decide on later

you dont need dscale unless you really want to get into the fray and start hitting crap. if you want to be a healer and just be that, then look for mancers set + purity + hoto. The rest is all skills stuff or defensive stuff. Iron pelt gives +3 def auras but you can just as easily go with enigma for tele, war for life/dr/res or any of a few other decent armors, even gris armor is good (if it still has the +1pally +2defensive skills). seraphs amulet.

just go with whatever will keep you alive decently (get good res, some DR), and then go with +skills all the way.

Mine uses the following.

+6 prayer Purity
+3 prayer +2 holy bolt Hoto
Immortal flesh
Gris armour
2 pally rings
2/2 Seraphs
Silkweaves
+3 def auras rare diadem with life/res/str
Hellmouth

I'll change the boots and gloves to mancers and the helm to CoA. That is if i ever get some spare time to start playing again.

with 19 skillers and anni, heart and brain, along with a perfect +7 prayer purity you can get up to level 78 prayer unless im mistaken.
I have him at level 63 or so prayer at the min and with that level he has over 92 yards radius on prayer with over 500 heal. so 1k heal with dual prayer + medi.

I rarely run prayer to be honest and usualy run on offensive aura or a resist aura to help the team out. The healing is mostly to keep my life bulb full while i spam boly bolts at the tanks to keep them alive and kicking. Ask naz/jay/ben/bob/rt/utter/just-ice to log onto my acc for the exact numbers as I ain't been on in ages.
