It is sometimes handy to know the base values of white items, so they have now all been posted up on http://critterkiller.arimyth.com/

Currently missing Boots, and the webpage title of all Armors is "Runewords". Can we add Kick damage and Smite damage? Perhaps a column for str/dex damage modifiers? For those not used to HU, it might be nice to state that all items are capable of max-sockets for their class (4 for any socketable armor).

For those not used to HU, it might be nice to state that all items are capable of max-sockets for their class (4 for any socketable armor) - not sure I see value in that since EVERYTHING can get 4 sockets.

Exactly, just a simple statement somewhere that all socketable armor types can have 4 sockets. Not a column. Keep in mind that in Vanilla, if you wanted a "Spirit" shield, a white Monarch shield was the only way to go. I don't think normal-quality shields were capable of 4 sockets at all.

For HU Weapons, there's a lot more variability (it's not just "6 limited by inventory size"), so maybe a column would be best if this information was to be included at all.

That is one more thing to update though and that isn't a small thing to do.

I am MUCH more inclined to put a note saying that on the white items intro page even for weapons. If the person isn't sharp enough to figure out that you can't stick 5 sockets in a 3 square item, then too bad for them :O

It looks good, but for some reason the additional Smite information you added to shields did not include the last block of shields. It looks like just a coding-update that missed a section.

The HTML head-section-title for these new white item stat pages is "Runewords". Manually it's a simple fix, but I'm guessing whatever template or system you're using needs to be tweaked.

Great work on the CritterKiller Web site, to all contributors. I still had the old Freewebs version saved in my favorites and I realized I was lacking some of the new information discussed here on the forums :)

Anyways, back on topic, I'm not sure how to read the "StrBonus" and "DexBonus" columns on items like shields and boots. I know that strength and dex increase smite and kick damage respectively, but what are the values given in those columns? Maximum possible values of ED%?

Here is the formula for weapon damage:

FinalDamage = (((Normal Damage
x 1.5) (only if ethereal)
x (1 + Enhanced Damage on Weapon / 100) + Bonuses to Minimum/Maximum Damage)
x (1 + Strength or Dexterity / 100 + Off-Weapon Enhanced Damage / 100 + Skill Damage Bonus % / 100) + Elemental Damage)
x (1 - Skill Damage Penalty / 100)
x 2 (only if a critical or deadly strike is scored)


Where it says str or dex in that calculation, you then multiply it by the str/dex modifier in the white item. As a general note, these values are notably higher in HU than in b.net which is why stat points have a bigger impact.
