So this has been happening quite frequently as of lately. It's pretty annoying and rude. The guy has been whispering a bunch of people randomly with the comments and imo it has to stop.

This is happening to everyone, and it IS NOT the actual player maniac, it's a spam bot. The messages will come from various accounts, I get most the spam messages from *Incredulous. Just squelch him. It's up to Duff to ban the IP of whoever is running the spam bot, not sure why he hasn't |

I have small letters on my account name. This fake acc has been prepared with big letters and ONE small "L" letter instead of "i". Looks the same, but is MANLAC, not MANIAC. This spammer is quite intelligent, but he has big social problem. |

I sent Duff a few screenshots and a link to the previous post complaining about this guy. I didn't see any spam for a few days, and now he's back. Makes me think he's using a proxy. If thats the case, we'll probably just have to deal. |

So he is using an acount that is called looooooooooool, but its a combination of "o" and "0" so you cant really squelch him anymore unless you figure out which o's are o's and which ones are 0's. It makes the game unplayable when he spams 50 messages a second for hours at a time. Is there nothing that can be done to stop this guy? Been getting non stop spammed for 3 hours now. Anyone have a way I can figure out what characters his account is using so I can squelch him? |

all host can setup a text qouta thats block them from spam its like dont let u to send more than 2line in some sec or whatever. |

Unfortunately it's quite hard to ban a whole IP range which is used by legit players as well. I don't think there's a text quota anywhere on PvPGN as well ... Anyway every account has been locked for now, we'll see what I can do next .. |

what i usually end up doing is logging over myself with a char im not playing with and then the log over gets all the spam while i chill with freinds, means no frendly's can talk to me in green but i get to live instead of being killed by 200 messages at hell dury lol |
