Could have been a nice R/W for an assassin....bummer claws dont get 4 sockets :?

lols. would you rather see it for claws or left as is in flails only? What rune would you want to ditch?

it was proposed like this, so i am going to blame all of you like i blame my students when i drop a negative sign and then procede to be a negative off on the final solution. :mrgreen:

The runeword itself is a lightning version of armageddon. I'd like to see it able to be made in scepters also, along with Geddon and Valor. Or would that be OP for an elemental auradin?

As for dropping a rune. Dropping the gul or ohm either one would work. This has the potential to be a powerful runeword, so zod/jah is a must.

Anyway, thanks for the info on the runewords.

*After a moment of though. The lightning trapper is a strong build as is, not sure if making this runeword clawable would be the wisest decision.

Hello,
I am trying to find the program/setup to properly look into the txt files to verify runewords for my group. Can anyone point me to a good guide or in a direction to do it? I don't see any of the txt files in my HU directory so I have presumed I need to mine it out of the MPQ. Please let me know as were about to get to the phase of using zod's and I don't look forward to wasting any resources.

First thing you need is an MPQ archiver.

Run winMPQ and open your HU patch_d2.mpq.
The archive is arranged alphabetically to make finding files a bit easier.

The .MPQ is simply a packed and compressed data folder.
For text files, look for files preceeded by data\global\excel\
For item image DC6's, look for files preceeded by data\global\items\
For string files, look for files preceeded by data\local\lng\eng\

Highlight the files you need then extract them to your desktop (or your HU folder if you like).
This will create a data folder with the files in the correct sub folders. (data\global\excel\ if it's text files you extracted etc.)


Runewords are all in runes.txt.
The runes used are listed by their rune number. (El is r01 for example).
Ps. You can use jewels and gems as runes in this file. Ie. jew, jew, jew would be a runeword from 3 jewels.
