Eh I remeber drrod saying beta reset so that's what I passed to duff. It would give more accuurate results for changes that affect all difficultie. Such as melee and any skills that were changed damage wise |

well i dont know still what is going to happen..u said there will be announced a date or something but still dont know what is it going to be..so there is a patch comming up soon..next week duff is going to tell us when..so that means new ladders and new characters and that i should w8 with playing..what about that beta?..will be there a reset too after?..does this mean that i should w8 a month to real play?.. |

dude this has been discussed so many times elsewhere, you should do a little searching dew created a patch we're waiting for duff to patch the servers the ladder won't reset at first afaik, so everyone can do a live realm test after people have ran through all the difficulties testing the changes, ladder will reset I feel like I've typed this a hundred times now |

From how I understand it, next week will be a wipe of the current ladder. Then the realm will run a new ladder for no longer than a month which will be considered the beta test period(there may be some features added to speed this up like increased drops but I'm not sure). Then after that month long testing period the ladder will be wiped once again, and the real reset will begin. So to answer your question if you don't want to participate in the beta testing and only want to start characters that will be around for a full ladder then yes, you're better off waiting a month to play. I'd recommend playing the beta though, if not only for testing, but fresh ladders are the most fun times in HU in my opinion. |

A guy just wanted a very clear answer and now he shouldn't post? That attitude is one of the reasons why not very many people play this mod. I too have been wondering EXACTLY what will be happening since all most people can say is AFAIK which is anything but clear. I DO appreciate the work people have put into this and I do respect what people say, but telling someone they shouldn't post because no one would provide clear info is just rude. That's my two cents. Go ahead and flame me too if you disagree with me. That seems to be the trend around here afaik  P.S. In my opinion, I don't understand why we would reset for beta. Just make new chars if you want to test all difficulties, right? Seems straight forward enough to me but maybe I missed some other reason as to why we are resetting for beta. But either way can't wait for new ladder! |

Patching with current characters and gear will not give proper results. Balancing on twinked chars is just a poor design and since the melee changes affect all difficulties feed back is needed from a full play through. So each boss can be adjusted properly. With melee I can't just adjust all bosses the same, otherwise we end up with almost impossible sub bosses and impossible act bosses. Resets are also fun and create a level playing field for everyone. |

People were polite until the last post, which was nothing about nothing. Those that are going to play d3 wouldn't be playing the beta or the full patch more than a week if it was if we had it out on the 8th. Expectations were for when school was out for the summer for quite awhile now. It's not November now as far as I can tell. |
