Total Blocking = [(Blocking * (Dexterity - 15)) / (Character Level * 2)]
DEX needed for max block = {(150 * clvl) / blocking} + 15

"blocking" equals the inherent chance to block on the shield, the blockfactor of the character and any increased chance of blocking from any other piece of equipment or skill added together, right?

That puts Dscale at 80% block without amethysts or other pieces of equipment adding block, with a lousy level 20-something holy shield we add another 43-45% giving us:

Required dex for clvl 101 with HS = {(150*101)}/125)+15 = 136
This number seems lower than what I needed with my hammerdin back in 1.21z, is my memory off or has something been changed? Or am I missing something.

Another couple random questions:
a) Does the "aura on equip" meditation on Heaven's Will also give the fcr bonus? If yes, how much?
b) If yes to the above, wouldn't mancers boots be ideal in the new version for hammerdin with the crazy 55 dexterity they add? Or will I need the res from craft boots most of the time unless I have godly charms?

If that is the correct formula for calculating blocking then something was probably/obviously changed.

when did they change the mancer boots too 55 dex? on the item database site its only on 25dex

You dont need godly charms to reach the res cap, its quite easy to reach seeing as you can get a huge amount of res in the pally shields.

You probably get the fcr from a AoE meditation, no idea how much it gives though.

Inputting values for my current HoZ and Dexterity it seems to work that exact way. Can't see why mancer would go into a .dll to edit a formula to mess with block either.

New item patch. I'm not sure 55 is actually intended though, probably meant 30-40 overall rather than a 30-40 increase on top of what they already had when they were discussed.

Indeed, however I would prefer to keep those sockets for more pressing things such as pierce or skulls for pdr%.

You probably get the fcr from a AoE meditation, no idea how much it gives though.

Edit:
slvl 10 meditation = 34% FCR
slvl 20 meditation = 42% FCr

Files say dex bonus is 25 on mancer boots in SetItems.txt. The set receives no green bonuses. No gold/tan bonuses are to dex. I don't know where you are getting 55 from. Pic please.

It has another 30 dex added in the columns aprop3a, amin3a, amax3a. I haven't familiarized myself completely with the files so I'm not sure what that's supposed to do but it seems it adds up the two properties.

I don't see this in my file. (I looked again to make sure). None of mancer's set has these bonuses. Furthermore, it should show up green should it not? Someone else confirm one way or another.

Looks like you need to revert to your backup files Cory. You've edited something by accident or on purpose locally.

Or option number 2. What server did you take this SS from?
