Make SURE you've updated correctly, this is NOT a hard proccess but a lot of the bugs being reported like the crashing shadow master/warrior combo, dungeon maps being bugged is because your still running the old client...

Either download the small updated and extract it DIRECTLY INTO THE DIABLO 2 FOLDER, NOT A SUB DIRECTORY... This file should create a folder called "Data/Global/excel/" In your Diablo 2 folder, if not then you fucked up...

If you updated using this method you must use the Hell Unleashed bat file when playing, or run a Diablo 2 shortcut with the extention -direct -txt

If you downloaded the full pack or the lite pack simply extract it into the Diablo 2 folder and REPLACE!! all existing files...

I followed the instructions carefully and when it didn't work I redid everything the way you said to. When it still didn't work I took it upon myself to erase almost everything in my d2folder and then downloaded patch again. Now I'm missing the game.exe file so I can't even load up d2 now. Any suggestions? I hate saying this but the game was running fine before the update, now I've had nothing but problem after problem. I almost wish there weren't one now.

Nevermind, Hunter is tech-supporting me. Shadows casting warriors...funny. I was almost positive it crashing because of a spell I had in right slot that my shadow coulsn't cast, just couldn't figure out which one it was, thanks iron. The bear will be back soon. Funny, *ratscat made a passing joke a while ago about how it would be funny if your shadows could cast warriors.

I did the update and I did a complete D2 reinstall from CDs and it seems to crash when I use shadow. My shadow master is 42/43 when I cast it, so that may be high enough for it to cast itself like the other posts were saying? Any other high level assassins having trouble with shadows? I did stay up for for a quick 5-7 min session w/o casting a shadow. My new merc also jumped 5 or 7 levels since last night but still shows same exp. Able to equip 90 gear though. Before it was 101 and I bought a new one (lvl 82 druid) since I thought that was my problem.

Thanks Soulmancer (about fixing shadow/warrior combo). It's still somewhat workable if you are quick enough to deselect the warrior/shadow from the right tab, but yeah a complete fix would be nice. I haven't had much fun playing an rpg in 10 yrs!

The hotfix will deal with the shadow combo, the runewords you mentioned and will also reduce the HP of the elite monsters slightly. Beserkers, Wyrms, Seraphim, Mariliths and Worldstone Golems... Wyrms in normal difficulty have also had their damage output slightly reduced.

Is there a way to make a clone of wolf/bear form with a very long unlimited duration? the a5 mercs stay in form now, which is great. I dont want to sounds like a negative nancy, but with no lycan they reshift 40 seconds later.

In median there are shifter mercs and they stay in form. Im not sure how exactly laz did it, but it can be done.

Edit: Actually they still shift randomly quite often

To anyone having issues make sure you use the "D2modsetup" to uninstall/install after updating.

When my lvl 22 Assasin goes to the catatombs with a Waypoint or just by enter the door "to the cattatombs" in the inner cloister, the whole game crashed.

I use D2loader and it occurs with every character and in every game. (tested)

Previous patch it did work fine.

 :? Fixed it, my own mistake with loader...

Solo edition still has not got Shadow Master/Warrior fixed.
I have downloaded full Solo rar file.

Warrior has Warrior name under the icon and Master has Warrior name but a little closer to the icon...

Note: I reinstalled the mod after copying it to the folder.
