So I have FRAPS and I can record videos, but I am not terribly talented at downsizing them so that they can end up on the web. Can anyone who has skills in this area walk me through what they do?

Much appreciated!

once you have the file recorded, open windows movie maker, and upload the clip you want, then move the clip into the story board and publish to desktop/documents or w/e, then upload that file as usual. Thats how I do it anyway

ah - Vista. I am running Windows XP.

movie maker looks like a fail to me. Even once I got it running on a second system, it gave me a codec error. I guess it doesn't work with FRAPS easily.

I would use Virtual Dub and encode to Xvid.
