Hi I have a question^^ What's HPTable in the d2mod ini. and what happens if I change the values?? In all probability I will play with only 1 person more. Do you think these settings are ok for 2 players? minimum "/players X" value allowed, normal is 1 PlayersXmin = 4 HPTable = 400,400,800,1200,1500,1800,1900,2000 or do you think it would be too heavy? Edit: When I play alone it seems a bit hard. |

that only takes effect in single player and tcp/ip games (the host of the games d2mod.ini is used) the hptable is the value monsters health should be multiplied by depending on player count. (its a percentage) Your aove example would result in hell bosses life rolling over and you 1 shotting them. It's best to leave it as is or you are not playing the mod as it was designed to be played. If its single player, reducing it would be acceptable to make up for no other party members. the "playersxmin" is the minimum spawn you will have (ie. with just 1 player in the game, it will act like there are 4 players in the game, resulting in the 1200% being applied until the players setting is increased to 5+ (/players 8 etc) |

Ok, but in the abstract it would work if I use these settings without any lifebar explosion in hell: ... ; minimum "/players X" value allowed, normal is 1 PlayersXmin = 4 ; ; maximum "/players X" value allowed, normal is 8 PlayersXmax = 8 ; HPTable = 200,200,400,600,750,900,950,1000 .... because: HPTable = 200,200,400,600,750,900,950,1000 x 4player = 4000 and 4000= HPTable = 100,100,200,300,375,450,475,500 x 8 player If we consider that a normal game should work in all 3 modes, than would be: max= 4000 for a normal game in all 3 modes Ok maybe I will try it with PlayersXmin = 3 because I never played this mod and I am sure that my 2 man party would overwisely die in the game. I died in the game when I played solo with normal settings at the cave of coldcrow in the first chapter XD. But I guess 2 people can defeat Coldcrow with these settings in normal mode. Maybe someone has some tips or hints for me how to defeat Coldcrow?! ^^ |

OK you are right its way too hard even with these settings. Hmm well I think I double HPTable and set the player to X=2 this should be hard enough if I consider that I couldn't beat coldcrow with normal settings in normal mode and solo. By the way if you want you can delete these topics: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=4868 and viewtopic.php?f=9&t=4914 . I think they aren't necessary anymore since you split the topic with the cinematic issues. So I think cinematic issues would be enough and because we solved that problem I don't see why we do need the other 2 topics I linked above. |

what? No you are not understanding that right: ; minimum "/players X" value allowed, normal is 1 PlayersXmin = 4 - This sets the minimum spawn to 4 player spawn HPTable = 200,200,400,600,750,900,950,1000 This means: 200% when 1 player is in the game 200% when 2 players are in the game 400% when 3 players are in the game 600% when 4 players are in the game 750% when 5 players are in the game 900% when 6 players are in the game 950% when 7 players are in the game 1000% when 8 players are in the game. As above, the min players setting is set to 4. That means that no matter if there is 1 or 4 people in the game, the monsters will get the 600% bonus. Quote: I don't see why we do need the other 2 topics I linked above. We didn't need multiple topics on the same subject in the first place... |

PureRage-DoD wrote: As above, the min players setting is set to 4. That means that no matter if there is 1 or 4 people in the game, the monsters will get the 600% bonus. Oh I think I got it. It(degree of difficulty) was a bit to heavy thats why I decided to set the player to X= 2 or maybe 3(I don't know). But I double the HPTable. That will be funnnnnyyy!!! But if I do that I really really have to plan my char. Maybe someone can give me an advice for a good character. I made a new topic in the strategy section for that. |

you can also type /players 5 or /players 6 or /players 7 or /players 8 in game to increase the players setting (so you can drop it just by typing /players 1 if it gets too much). |
