Which yields quicker results to obtaining a +3 on a craft. For example starstone amethyst gloves with +3 bow skills. |

It's a rare mod that gets selected. More to do with the character level than with the gems. |

ya, I'm pretty sure the gems themselves dont have anything to do with it. I roll SS because it gives you 3x more rolls, hence 3x more changes to get a +3 skill (Unless you're in need of the bigger fcr/fhr/whatever mods from the MS craft). If this is incorrect someone plz correct me

+3 skill tabs is a rare affix. High ilvl crafts (should be noted ilvl is independent of gem) are guaranteed to get 4 rare affixes available to the base item. Which of the 4 prefixes/suffixes you actually get is an other matter (you can't get all 4 prefixes or all 4 suffixes due to item save structure for affix storing). So if you are attempting to do something like gloves with an effective +4 bow skills (if blue/rare gloves do spawn with the respective +3 skill tab) you would use a mid tier caster glove craft to get it as quickly as possible. |
