His new multishot has nexhit 0, it's insta death for everyone, melee can't get closer than 1 screen.
Other than that he's funny.

I personally wonder what sort of cold resists the people who have been dieing against the new boss have been sporting. Considering one person said the right resist number was 200 it's sorta a given they'd get whoop because they didn't stack for the massive passive pierce at all. It would be interesting to see the char screen screen shots of the people who have failed so far.

Only his multishot is OP, he's a good sport anyway, his other spells are well balanced. We did it duo, me + Krecik_back. He will take many lives on HC if multishot remains the same. Going to do him 2nd time(3rd time total, last one crashed) soon. Btw. his fire after death killed us 3 times :D

He's underpowered if you've killed him twice already and going for 3 IMO. Should be hard to the point of it being a fluke that you win.

Would you mind posting a screen shot of your character screen? I would like to see the stats on your trapper as when it's geared for Soulmancer. I presume the other guy was a firestorm druid?

Sure, she's missing her 3 shards now so damage would be higher with them. I can outrun his multishot but it requires.... "skill". Res are enough to survive his other skills with oak/self bo and caster gear don't provide mdr/pdr.

Yay I know, don't mind me just try him with your mates. I abuse a lot of stuff, I solo'd LoS many times, I'm just patience and play SC :P.

For now I won't tell you how we did it, it took 35min for 2nd time, first was 1h.

Edit: we've tried it with my barb, he had over 300 cold res and 120 mdr still multishot insta killed him when tried to... leap to him - lol.

Well currently the cold multishot is set at a very specific speed. It's set at the speed multihit KB can knock you back at (also it should be noted the per hit damages on the multishot are so high MDR won't really help it anyways).

Your life during the fight? Also one weakpoint I noticed in your gear set up. Soulmancer has -100 enemy resists in all non physical elements passively. This means your fire resist is getting pierced down to 7 and and your cold resist down to 33. The cold multishot would actually be a lot more survivable if your right side cold resist value was atleast 295.

Personally I don't see any melee standing a chance at really close range. Best they could do is get the 300+ cold resist and some cold absorb % so that he can be closer than the DPS team to draw Soulmancer's fire.

it's hard to hit a trapsin with meteo or bone spirit, that lighnitng vortex was hitting hard tho.
I had about 6k from self bo and another 7k from oak.... 13k. Better have 1000 juvs on floor or be ready to face death.

If Steel had to bring in someone else to do the boss. Believe it's impossible Steel is probably the best D2 player on softcore hands down.

The large beer can enemy with gas attacks that also shoots hockey pucks. Rage could make this sprite couldn't he?

Easy enough to make sprites if you take your time with the drawings. Just spent 5 mins making a quick walking animation outa a really bad drawing of a Duff can and used it as a missile replacement. Missiles and monster animations are the same format so it would be easily turned into a monster.

Don't know about flashing floors, but the screenshots showed a lot of rediculous monster sprites from all sorts of sources which reminded me the spirit of that duff can you just made.

Yes I recall seeing a particular SS like that. I also remember there being Doom monsters as well as monsters ripped out of star wars. I also remember hadriel being replaced by a gandalf saying, "you shall not pass!".

I vote for a Blue Myrridin boss found in area to the west in the inner cloister.

He will have a 3% oak.
His main attack will remove all str/dex frmo your armor/weapons.
His secondary attack will be a screen wide warcry that will have this voice on the sound file.
