The patch making preparations are honestly about complete. It will be wrapping up today. There's 2 possible ways to make this patch.

1) external data folder which might be tricky for some people to update (but also very fast to upload/download)

2)internal patch which has all the data in the mpq file (but very large file so slow to upload/download).

I voted for the second option as Data folders seem to cause a lot of issues with people who use D2SE. It's a headache to use them and can cause a lot of issues with loader if you have that installed as well. I still haven't had time to redo all my stuff from using Pure's client side edits.

I just don't want to drive people who use D2SE away or cause a massive floodstorm on the forums of people asking how to fix it. (I could probably make a step by step post on how to do it as Kevin explained it to me via pm).

I want to vote for both too. I dont use D2SE so i dont see point why should i download whole mpq, i can use data folder just the same easy way so it will be nice to just post data folder download ;] Same time if it is going to cause problems for some ppl, making mpq file would be nice too.
P.S. When will server side patch for files to this patch will come?? ;]

Patch should be available for download at tomorrow morning at the latest. How quickly Duff springs into action for applying the patch to the servers will be an other matter not under my control.

dunno if one of you can make a D2SE Plugin?
but its no problem to use one of these compatible with D2SE, with D2SE you could also add a HU_patch.mpq wich contains the files of the patch, would maybe be a nicer way to do it, than adding outside a mpq..

and why not release both types? ulta lite, lite and full

When it comes time for the official patch to roll around I'll probably make a D2SE plugin install as well.
