I like this mod for one good reason : it's difficulty is challenging !

so... I play Solo, I downloaded the Solo version of the mod, and I played all the characters until I met the Skell King(rescue Cain quest)...my levels were somewhere between 25 and 30 tops ... quite nice items and few uniques...

What I wish to ask is this :
1) If I play solo.. I will be able to finish the game on all difficulties right ? I hope this isn't a mod made to be played on teams...

2) I really enjoy Summoner Necromancer... did anyone else played this build ? how far can he be pushed ? how is he doing in Hell Diff ? So far I was playing him at /p 8 until that Skell King pawned my a$$.. I run out of corpses.. and my golem was useless without the skells to back him up :\

3) Can someone give me some information regarding the number minions I could summon ? depending on skill levels .. how many I already have .. etc..

LAST EDIT : oh I forgot ... isn't there a way to add more stash pages to store items and maybe trade them between my own Single Player Characters ?

The solo edition can be solo'd.. I'm not sure if this mod is PlugY compatible or not. I however have no experience with a summon necro so I can't really tell you.

1) Summons will die @ boss fights, must gear up merc with the best items
2) I played solo until 85lvl(a2 hell), well we played solo with a friend so it was easy, a1 phys merc + summons and you should be ok.
3) There's no skele cap(1 more per 3lvls I think, don't remember). Last ladder(MP version) I had like 22 skeles, 13 mages, 4 golems, 1dk, 4 blades.
4)Install Plugy - LINK - iirc you should run PatchD2gfxDll to load it with d2modsystem. With plugy you can fully reespec your skills/stats if something goes wrong.

hm... so you could have one of every golem type ? 4 of them in total ... that should do some work vs mobs and bosses...
What is the max skill level ? 20 ? (the maximum points you can put into skill...)

I have PlugY installed ..the game starts fine but when I wish to enter the game it stops and gives me the : "Bad character data" error... then it returns me to the select character screen ....

and I don't find the "PatchD2gfxDll " file ... how I make plugY work with Hell Unleashed mod ?

Golems are one of the few summons that do fairly well against bosses, but they are slow to kill. Especially in the single player version (which is different than the multiplayer version) - you may be able to move forward without a problem with a GolemMancer.

I havent played teh single player though, so I am not 100% confident in that.

well.. I will give it a try and give you some feedback ... but first ...

tell me how I make plugY work with the mod ... want those extra pages to store items/gems/runes .. etc ...

strange, http://plugy.free.fr/PlugY_The_Survival_Kit_v10.00.zip there is PatchD2gfxDll file there... Anyway. open plugy.ini with text editor(notepad will do) navigate to [general] and there you should add

DllToLoad=d2mod.dll
Run game by plugy.exe, in plugy.ini you can edit other things, like how many skill per lvl you will be getting, default save location etc. Just make sure Plugy is extracted fully to your d2 folder.
btw. try creating a new char first.
btw2. never leave quest items in a shared stash.

hm... that means I must edit the plugy.ini file ... and I must do these 2 changes :

ActivePlugin=2

and

DllToLoad=D2Mod.dll
DllToLoad2=PlugY.dll

I will give it a try ....

don't add plugy.dll... it's already being loaded via
[LAUNCHING]
Library=plugy.dll
It should work ok if you add only one thing I told you to. Well it worked for me.

I just dive it a try and it work fine .. the only problem is ... how I can reset my skill points ?

So far when I played MXL .. I used a small program witch doesn't work on HU characters ...

so...how do you reset skill points using PlugY ? :) (dumb question I know...)


LATE EDIT : I found how to reset skill points too (it's on that "X" on top right corner of the skill tabs).

Now that I have the stash and the ability to change stats and skills time to dig in the mod :D
