Something we implemented on the other forums that I manage is the inability to post a link until you have made 10 posts (mod for it here: http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopi ... &t=1576205). This has resulted in a DRAMATIC reduction in spammers. Given how heavily spam infested this forum is (you saw what happened this weekend when I was not online the whole weekend), this seems like something well worth doing. |
