 Post subject: Right jewel for crafting

Got two questions about choozing jewel component for crafting.
First, it wasn't mentioned at Blue's site, but none of jewels collected at normal worked with moonstone craft. Jewel dropped on nightmare worked well. Was it intended?
Second, was mentioned that item level affects craft quality, does this apply to jewel too, or i could pick any for the same result?

Any jewel of any quality works. I crafted an amulet with a cold Rainbow Facet today.

Jewel level does not affect crafting. I regularly gamble jewels with a level 1 mule (faster & cheaper) to craft and it still spawns with high level mods. Character & Item Level are the only things I've seen affect mods on a craft (outside of Normal/Exceptional/Elite of course).

Elipod is right, I had the same problem (normal jewels not working on moonstones crafts)

I just thought it was a bug, but threw them away and got new 1s.

as far as I know, there is no code to distinguish between a norm jewel and a NM/Hell jewel in the txt file formula for crafting.

So any jewel should work just fine.

I've never had a problem with where the jewel was found. I have made the mistake once of trying to craft with the incorrect base for the gem.
