Alright lol, here's how I managed to figure it out.

This is what I thought.
White bow + dual or higher socket = 2 socket bow.
Socket 2 Items
Gemmed white bow + single socket = same bow with same stats as dual socket, it does not lose any stats and has 1 socket.
That new 1 socketed bow with those 2 gems stats + dual or higher socket = 1 free socket or more with same base stats, so stats would accumulate.

But, when you try to add sockets to the items you removed sockets it makes the server crash.

It would've been bad ass to make a infinite damage weapon, the possibilites would've been endless lol. Just to tell you about a bug i found ^^

1) It's not the server that crashes, you're just being booted from the game
2) Blizzard added this feature to the socketed recipe to prevent the "ith" exploit back in Vanilla. The exploit was that the mods from socketed ith runes were not being cleared out of the item when the number of sockets changed, allowing people to make weapons with silly-high damage. This bug would have allowed for nearly infinite amounts of abuse, so it was fixed.

I found a similar bug last ladder. You could make a runword with 4 or less runes, then use a socket or socket quest to add a 5th or 4th socket accordingly. Then you would have 1 extra socket to put anything.

Only issue was that the item vanished after about 5 minutes :)
