I could use help testing out crafting to make sure there aren't typos in my formulas (there likely will be a few as I have already caught a couple of them). Folks can also double check gems & runes to make sure I have those correct although I think they are good to go. To help test things here is a zip file that contains: - modified gems.txt - modified cubemain.txt with new crafting formulas - modified misc.txt that allows Akara to sell all gems/runes/jewels for 1g and charsi to sell hammers for 1g (handy to get crafting supplies) - modified monstats.txt that changes treasure class of blood moor monsters - that should allow you to get plenty of elite/exceptional items for crafting zip file for download http://blue.arimyth.com/crafttest.zip Process to install: 1. BACKUP YOUR ORIGINAL TXT files 2. download the zip 3. extract the txt files to your Diablo II\Data\Global\Excel folder 4. run the game in single player (edits won't work on realm) Let me know what you find. Don't forget that crafts also get rare mods, so you may see some variety. For example, when you craft an elemental sword it may get say 208-420 cold dmg rather than the listed 200-400 cold dmg. This is just because the item spawned with +8-20 cold dmg and not because of a txt error. However if you find that error comes up repeatedly, then it is a txt error (or really wonky statistical chances!) Thanks all for their testing, it helps keep the final patch high quality and we all want that. |

oh - it is also probably handy to have a link to the patch changes in this thread: http://blue.arimyth.com/patch.html There are a couple new tweaks to crafting based on Brevan's feedback and my testing, nothing very dramatic though. |

I'll start testing in like 10 min, i have like an hour so i will check it precisly. I would ask you blue just for one favor. Highlight in your page what exact changes you have done to the crafts, so i will know which one i should focus most. Anyway i'm glad i can at least help in testing. Edit. One more, could u edit txt's that akara whould also sell rings and amulets for 1g?? It'll be easier to check everything. |

Ok: Diamond craft amu with SS is 4-5 medi, should be 2-3 Amethyst boots/helm with SS/MS don't get +1 skill Haven't tested it fully! http://img510.imageshack.us/img510/2711/10939414.jpg Heh SS craft, not a bug just epic! Emerald: Ring 10-20 15-30 10-20 to Vitality It's as intended but should it be ??? Sapphire rings SS have 20-40 FCR just like MS, should have 15-30 Death weapon with SS is 25-50 ias Topaz MS crafts get only % but no pierce at all |

Runes: OHM - Website states 1-1000 on armor/helm/shield but only has 1-500 in game (correct on weapon). MAL - Typo on website, says -8% to Magic Fire Resistance instead of -8% to Magic Resistance. PUL - Replenish life is 33 on website, 20 in game. TAL - Has 75 damage over 8 on website, 200 over 8 in game. Gems: Emerald - Poison length reduced in shield scaling Starstone - Pest is 23/24/25 on website, 23/26/30 in game. Skull - Moonstone skull has 800% thorn damage in shield instead of 10% OW. |

thx for the testing caster boots/helms - fixed (i had forgot to add it to all 4 lines) holy ss amulet - fixed emerald rings - agreed, that is dumb. fixed so it does 20-40 vit Ohm - fixed Mal - website typo fixed Pul - fixed tal - website typo fixed Emeralds - fixed Moonstone skull - fixed zip file and website is updated (you may need to right-click and reload frame if you don't see the changes) |

death wpn - fixed "Sapphire rings SS have 20-40 FCR just like MS, should have 15-30" not following this one, Sapphire rings don't have FCR, they have dex |

Sorry, meant Amethyst(caster), too many windows open. Anyway you also forgot about MS Topaz craft, instead of pierce all items get xx-yy ele dmg but guess it's a mistake |

gems: -Moonstone skull armor and helms have open wounds instead of thorns -Moonstone emerald in shield has 26% psn length reduced in game 24% in doc -Pestilence eye in shield has 30% psn length reduced in game 25% in doc elem craft: -elite elemental weapon crafts have 63-750 light dmg in game, 63-801 in doc |

fixed ele craft lightning dmg typo on website. thanks to all who have been testing, this is a very efficient way of getting things fixed up, so keep them rollin! |

To be honest, with stuff like this errors could exist anywhere so it is probably easiest to just run down the whole list and just start crafting away. I worry that if I highlight stuff, that errors may show up where I didn't expect them. I found that rings/ammys dropped pretty quick in the blood moor from the with the jazzed up drops. Pretty funny to kill those low level monsters and watch showers of loot come out |

normal elem shield craft gave me -7/-10% mag res (3-6% in doc), +9/8 % mag dmg (3-6% in doc) and 6% ctc lvl 6 fireball Exceptional shields: -10/15% mag res (4-8% in doc), +12/16% mag dmg (4-8% in doc), 8% ctc lvl 20 fireball couldnt find an elite shield elite elem glove craft has 10% ctct lvl 30 ice blast on attack instead of poison nova when struck |

hmm.. with the ele craft shields perhaps we should leave it like that as I have been informed that %magic dmg increased doesn't work. already fixed the fireball, but will fix up the iceblast. thanks! Looks like I plain old screwed up most all of the onstruck skills for elemental crafts. Fixing them up now |

ok - ctc spells on elemental crafts should now all be correct. I took a middle of the road approach with magic dmg, reduced it a bit but kept it a little higher than originally planned. website & zip file are updated with the latest information. |
