Hello, Have a question regarding single player, gameplay. Is it possible to complete single player los, and all ,and with what chars ,and builds in a solo edition can this be done.

yeh it can be done. I done it on a hammer pally a while back. anything with 2 forms of damage should be fine. (fbiter/fclaws, hammer pally with 1 point smite and cb, blaze sorc with a decent TK would work (tk for the druid since he is fire immune and can be knocked back) alot of things will work, especially on sp.

hello, I am new here. I have SP questions also:
1. Does sanctuary aura decrease phys imunities on undead? If yes, why it is not written in skill description? I was fighting Achmel with my zeal/smiter and have found that 1 point in sanctuary does better than max fana! If Achmel is phys imune, it would be shown, wouldn't it?
2. Smite should receive +15%dmg from defiance, if I put my points there, nothing changes with my dmg, is it working?
3. Is Samhain the strongest monster of the mod?

1. Sanctuary aura ignores the physical resistances of undead monsters. Therefor this is the best aura to use in undead infested places in my opinion (if you are a physical character).
2. I tested it, and it really doesn't seem to work. Strange thing..
3. I am not sure: either Sammy or the guys in the Land of Shadows; haven't had the luck (or misfortune?) to meet them in Hell difficulty yet.

the dmg synergy works im pretty sure brevan tested it ages ago.

Regarding Smite and Defiance synergy, yes I tested it ages ago and it was fine.

I tested using the "-act5" option to create a level 33 char. I ran around BMoor smiting (/players 8, Zombies take a few hits) with level 1 Smite and no Defiance. I then maxed Defiance and compared the number of hits it took to kill something. I concluded that points in Defiance helped Smite.

Since that test only takes about 10 minutes, perhaps someone else would like to try it.
Has this issue been added to the "Proposed Changes" list?

I tested it again (this time on monsters too), and the damage increases with Defiance, even if it is not displayed in the game.

one technical problem here. I can not socket any rare/crafted item. Magical works. I know about item specific number of sockets... Something has messed up with installation, maybe it is known bug here so somebody might have easier solution than reinstall... I am using plugy for item storage, and sometimes I switch between modes.

You need a pair of whatever type sockets you are trying to use for it to work on rare/crafted. E.g. two single sockets plus a rare shield equals one hole in that shield. Also, if I understand your wording correctly, there are no item-specific restrictions to the number of sockets in an item, at least not in the way there is in vanilla; all items of armor, helmets and shields can attain four sockets, and weapons can have as many sockets as there is room for (bar one exception with a damn bow I tried adding six sockets to with the Larzus quest).

ehm, I knew you will find out english is not my native language soon. :D By the way, you have understand what I wanted to say. I did not know all armor can have 4 sockets, I tried all combinations and failed because i put only one socket to cube. Thank you.

the defiance/smite issue has been in the textfile bug list for a bit.
It does again bring up the issue of outlying bugs that have not been brought up...are there any that are not in that list?

It is good idea to put more information into skill descriptions. Ex: sanctuary aura, it shoud be added "ignores physical resistances of undead" if it does, so even newbies know what is going on...

Try to hire one from Nightmare or Hell. Are you sure you are not using a Normal one?

shame on me :) yes I am. so problem solved. by the way, if I buy merc at lvl 90, is he going to be weaker then when leveled from normal? I can not remember well, in original d2 there was some resistances penalty, or no?

The penalty was weaker stats. I am not sure if it was removed in this mod, but I don't think so. Even if it is still in the game, the skills worth that little penalty (in most cases). ;)
