while i agree normal seems to easy nowadays let me say one thing: 2*4*flawed helm+armor = twink and game should not be balanced around gear you cant have first time around ;)

Diamonds in particular are super twink for early game due to the boost they recently received. I don't object to having them in the game to allow players to skip past the early levels (which I know a lot of people in the community want to do), but you should be aware that +24 pdr/mdr early game is extremely powerful and won't give you much of a challenge.

The reduction in difficulty of normal has been a bit controversial - for those who want to read the original discussion on it though this is a good read. This quote in particular stands out as Soulmancer's rationale for the change:

Be honest with yourself - is that REALLY playing within the rules of the game? If you want to cheat yourself out of a challenge, then sure use tricks like that to make the experience easier for yourself. Just don't complain when the game becomes too easy due to the exploits you are taking advantage of.

i made this post for afriend i myself enjoy this diamond thing but my friend said he hated it so i tried to help him out but we havent played together in weeks so im erasing all my post on thsi subject cuz he ticked me off for the final time im blocking him and not gona try and help him anymore see ya ^^

Normal is quite easy on the solo edition from expieriences so far, but again its down to stuff like you say blue... being able to get such high %PDR and other things that early on reallys helps with the pain.

I mean i didnt take me long at all to farm a good number of starstone gems.
