Hellmouth War Gauntlets:
5% Chance to Cast Level 1 Corpse Explosion when Killing

Does this work with ranged attacks? I've noticed it does not work for A3 mercs (so I assume it doesn't work with spells), but I haven't tried it with a bowazon or A1 merc. Any insight on this?

ctc on kill doesnt work for spells in general. The only spells it works for IIRC is poison spells. Hence it will only work for A3 poison merc.

It will work on all melee/range attacks. But level 1 CE has tiny tiny range.
