Post subject:  Constant Crashes
Any idea why I am constantly crashing... I load 2 players, I often move to a wp, I randomly walk out of town... and it gives me Unhandled Exception c000005 thing. Just happens randomly but it was never like this up until yesterday.

Any idea why?

not going by dark wood wp by chance are ya? that one has long been an issue (though for some reason i only started to get the in 1.5...zero clue why).

If it is kinda everywhere, then 1)check server status, 2)reinstall

I noticed the DWood crash only recently as well, and noticed that it occurs exactly when the "Entering Dark Wood" red text would have disappeared and only when that was the first wp I'd entered.
To get around that crash:
  1. Go to any other wp
  2. Wait 5-10 seconds for the "Entering..." text to disappear
  3. Go to DWood WP

For me that consistently fixed the issue in a way that isn't too awkward.

That is awesome - will try this. I guess the other question I have is when loading multiple characters. I get the error and I also often get kicked out with "dropped due to a timeout". Is there an issue around loading 4-5 characters in the same game from the same IP?

Multiple instances are allowed on HU.
If you are using D2Loader, this causes issues now I think...I actually don't do multiboxing...it is recollection of conversations from others...something about D2SE and sandboxie.

Edit: hmmm so this (DW WP) makes be begin to think that a string is either mistyped or is not being referenced properly.
