If traps work with -fire res? So I have 2x claws and wondering if putting rubies in to lower fire resistance to enemies works or if I should do Ral's for the extra fire dmg? Does anyone know?
I heard they are summons now or something like that and that it doesn't work. Let me know.

Yes traps are fully affected by resist pierce. Pierce is more effective than +dmg% until you reach 85% in this patch. These numbers won't be the same for any previous or future patch.

The 'more' correct statement about lower resistances is: Use -X res until the monsters hit 0 res, then use +dmg% beyond that.
In vanilla LoD traps are considered minions, and so they do NOT carry character info. In HU, this was worked around. So traps DO carry the pertinent info.
