I'm very interested in these edits and would love to try them out--but I don't have any of those folders or a skills.bin anywhere on my computer... Are these supposed to go into another download's directory or am I missing something? :?

If you don't have those sub folders, just create them.

you need to run the shortcut with -direct -txt at the end or open with hu.bat.

make a shortcut of your game (loader or whaterev) and right click and go to properties on the Target line add -direct -txt. thats "space" -direct "space" -txt

This topic will give you the small 1.21z update, this will also create the folders you need and put you on the correct version.

none of the skills on left click are working?

I might have missed some, I was sure i checked them all (except auras ofc).

If its just certain skills let me know what ones, if its all of them i`ll do them again

Edit: just went over them real quick and noticed I had missed a few (some druid summons and some traps etc. I uploaded a revised set. If anyone wants a set with the catapults missiles or anything left in, let me know and i`ll put a set up seperately

oh, ben make sure you delete the skills.bin fine from your excel folder before you start the game as it may cause conflicts and stop some features working. It`ll be created again when you start the game with the new files

Awesome edits here.

I'd love to get one with the catapult animation still in. I actually do dodge these when I see them coming but using these edits I seem to be taking too much damage from them.

Yeah they were working as intended then. I've only been playing a paladin lately so when I didn't see 20 auras on left click I jumped the gun a bit.

Plague Javelin -- possible to remove some poison cloud lag, while still having some animation to know that it's being used? I don't know about other people, but the giant expanding cloud at the end of the destination point lags the hell out of me.

Edit: ok a couple of things i can do, i can change the plague javelin animation to match poison jav or I can make the clouds animation spawn less frequently. or maybe both?

Update:

added a missiles.txt that will remove the expanding cloud animation from plague javelin. couldnt reduce the density at such short notice and im a little short on time right now so i just removed it. It only seemed to be a problem when it pierces 4 or 5 things all close together and you have 5 clouds all at once. Theres not really any way to thin it out when that happens so maybe just having the poison trail will do. it looks like poison jav now even on hit but monsters within range are still poisoned also reduced the density of some fire patches. Patches from meteor for example will show small flames instead of tall ones. I might have missed blaze. If I have and anyone wants it reduced in density let me know.

Nova spells - mainly Poison Nova methinks

idk how/if you could edit these in some way to reduce the massive lag they cause from spam (honestly, Poison Nova might be the only one that ruins me.. some ppl like to spam it in 1 spot as if it were 0.5 second duration, not 3)

Ah, yeah, I've been wondering this for a while also. Though, my biggest problem is Glasya's giant mass-elemental hailstorm thing... Talk about mass lag for shitty computers...

i`ll see what i can do about the charged bolt wall. What kinda fix would you prefer.
1: smaller density wall but leave the charged bolts that are thrown out when touched
2: smaller density wall and remove the charged bolts that are thrown out when touched
3: same density wall but remove the charged bolts thrown out when touched.

Not sure If i can even do that yet, i`ll take a look this evening. Not sure what I can do about glasyas big attack except completely remove the splash animation. Ie. same as catapults are, the damage is done but you dont know when its coming or going on. Since theres not really any way to avoid it I guess this would be ok.

im not sure what you mean by charged bolots thrown out when touched? i watched the trailer to see, do you mean the cbs that seem to be released from the wall itself when its touched? if so i vote for reduced density and the charged bolts to be removed from the walls 'counter'
i have never noticed them because the wall lags me and frames skip to past it

ok, think i found the lightning wall. I removed the bolts animation that get set off, but left the actual patch on the floor. I gotta test em after supper and i`ll upload later.

aint done glasyas one yet since its such a pain in the ass to find what missile it is. I have a feeling i found it but i`ll look into it abit more and see what i can do about it.

Ps. Do you it with or without the reduced plague jav clouds?

ok uploaded a set that stops the lightning wall charged bolt animation being flung out. I just tested and there was ALOT less of an fps drop there (wasnt any fps drop)

Hey PureRage,

Any chance you could put a file up that just does the left click spells?

The main ones I'm looking to do are just teleport and/or nova and static, so if it would be too much of a hassle to do an entire file of just spells, could you inform me how to do the edit myself?

Ok, heres the solo edition left click skills one. Again sorry for the wait, I forgot all about it.

If you dont have a data folder in your hu folder then create the following folders

data
Inside that put
global
inside that put
excel

extract the skills.txt to there.

If you open the game with hu.bat then it`ll work automatically, if not you will have to right click your shortcut and on the properties line add -direct -txt.

I have a question. Is it possible to have auras on left clicks? It would be nice to have concentration running all the time on left click and teleport + hammers on right click so I don't have to hold down shift all the time on my hammerdin. I assumed it wasn't possible considering it would then be possible to run dual auras but it doesn't hurt to ask.

yeh its not possible to do that. They can be made available as left click skills but they wont work if you select them as left click. Thats why I left them out.

Hey Pure, if you have time, could you please update the MkII(+catapults) edits for this new patch? Using the one in the first post currently would result in poison clouds from last patch and other display bugs, I'm afraid.
