Anyone have experience setting up a private realm from your PC? I'm using PVPGN 1.8.5 with D2GS, and I've gotten as far being able to connect to the realm myself, but what has me stumped is opening the connection up to others. I've tweaked the config files for weeks now and can't figure out what I'm missing. Help me Kevin! All correct ports appear to be forwarded(4000,6112-6114,6200,8888,16113). The d2cs.log doesn't even show any outside connections trying to connect.

If anyone is serious about helping I can post up config files, logs, or whatever. Thanks in advance.

I don't have experience with setting up that software, but from the description of what you've done, the problem still appears to be firewall related. How many firewalls did you forward the ports through? Windows Firewall, Router firewall, Antivirus firewall?

It might also be related to enabling telnet, as described by Bob908 here and here, since that's pretty important for older software communication.

Make sure you are allowing incoming connections to d2dbs and d2(CS? SVC? Been a while. Think it's CS.) in the config.

I remember having the same issue but don't remember the exact fix, I just know its config related. Will get back to you after new year.

PS. Happy New Year!

Edit: possibly translate.conf (not sure if correct name).

Hmmm, thanks for the suggestions boys. I'll recheck the firewalls, permissions, and address_translation.conf when I'm not drunk tomorrow.
