 Post subject: make blue diadems buyable in shops

seems like most other items are buyable in shops, but blue diadems are not. considering you cant gamble elite items (exceptional seems to be the max... my lvl 96 still hasnt bought one after about 50 tries), it makes it near impossible to get these for crafts.

can't buy/gamble sorc orbs either.

how familiar are you with the txt files? Can you figure out how to tweak them to make this possible?

I don't think it's too hard, to make it.
I can make all the items in the game Gambleable for about 5 minutes.

If you want them to be Shopable in to exact NPC, it's a little bit complicated.
Cuz you got to see if there's enough space avaliable in the PC Storage.
This can take about a half hour.

i wouldnt mind if they were able to be gambled, probably is a somewhat easy fix to allowing elites gambled. the shopping one would be better but as you said may take longer. good to know though, thanks for the info.

now to hope its implemented.

The fact is if you could gamble elite items, you could "easily" gamble Elite sets, and with enuff luck, elite uniques
That means: with enough gold you can get Soulmancer set and others fairly with a gf barb.

good point... if we made them shoppable though, then we have no problem with that issue :)

Anyway we can still controll the Items which can be Gambled.
So Elites will never find their place there.

Making just a Desired Shopable is even a better solution.

But it's not up to me to decide the Server's Destiny.. ;]

Why should you be able to shop them? Do you need everything handed to you the easiest way possible? Just pick them up as you find them.

*facepalm* because they drop like candy right?

no reason to have other craftable elites shoppable and not circlets. it just hampers their crafting abilities versus other characters.

and no, i dont need everything handed to me easily. i think theres enough work done to farm for the actual gems and such to craft elites with, i dont think we need to be sitting here farming for the actual base craft item as well.

Facepalm all you need. I fund two today, and there has probably been more dropped which I missed.

I would go so far that you should remove gambling alltogether.

its not the gambling im interested, its the shopping. if you think that buying things in shops are taking the "easy way", then we might as well remove every item from NPCs and from gambling. Im fine with this if thats the case...itll make every item on a level playing field in terms of availability. No reason to let all these weapons and armors pop up in shops and not include other types in there.

k - test it out in single player and see if you can get it to work without errors. If it does, then we can probably get it done in another patch.

I would recommend adding it to Malah or Akara since they don't sell armor. That will prevent you from having to worry about space. Might as well add all the circlet classes in.

Do this by tweaking armor.txt. You will see columns labeled "CharsiMin", etc for all the vendors. You will need a high lvl single player character to test it out in Hell. You also may need to play around with different vendors and all to make it work ~ dunno what it will take for sure.
