Main suggestion: Enable Bone armor party buff like enchant/Frozen Armor with a 5 second cooldown
Alternative options: Make bone armor party targetable (1 by 1) with ~4 seconds cooldown
** Cooldown is to avoid the BA spam, making the tanks cheese out**

Im running a Bone necro this season, but even when i think its a pretty balanced character, I kinda feel its lacking on survivality/utility, since its really depending on merc most of the time, the current build goes like this:

Bone armor / Bone wall / Bone prison / corpse explosion / amplify (1pt wonders like curses, swords and clay)

Lots of fun with the adjusts that BW/BP got on this patch, but bones arent that great protecting the party and necro/merc like golems and skeles on messy areas or open areas, Finding myself retreating or moving back on several situations (wich is not bad, and actually add joy to the gameplay) and getting the merc killed a lot.

Comes to mind the possibility to not just wall the enemies, also wall your buddies and merc, and having a cooldown to avoid the abuse of it. It could even start at 10 second cooldown, receiving -0.1 second cooldown synergie from BW/BP and itself per hardpoint, so, maxed build would be 4 seconds cooldown, starting at 10 seconds.

The build, its already a support build, cant do much by itself without a party, so this would add a little extra support and also handy option to the game.

Ideas and comments?

Bone armor would have to lose a lot of bonuses, including crit chance to make party buffing not broken. Throw bone armor on skeleton army: Crit galore.

Bone armor gives critical to wands and psn cloud to daggers, so i dont see a problem in that case Riem. (at least it how it has worked always)

I dont think it should be able to be cast on other party members or the summons of other party members, maybe just on your merc and your summons and tiered in a way that requires it to be maxed to be really useful on your 1 pointed golems and other summons. It should stack your merc since that would really be your only dps.

1: It can be made castable on pets and self (others pets would be included, or it wont work)
2: the damage absorb will not function as it uses an aura event.The same thing happened when frozen armor was changed from self buff and it lost it's freee when struck. It's just the way it is.
Castable on someone else > on auraeventfunc (this controls damage absorb/freezeonhit etc. etc. The only thing you could do with it is turn it into an old enchant style buff, adding damage etc, but the damage absorb would be completely disabled.

I'd say no.

If you're going to do anything to Bone Armor, then buff the skill itself some (the absorb and/or defense bonus). Don't make it castable on other people/pets.

no cooldown, just a straight buff
