Ok, I've gone ahead and tweaked all normal quality uniques. Nightmare and Hell I've not touched. I've seen the runeword thread and I'll look into tweaking more runewords...

I'd like to make some changes to nightmare and hell uniques... If you have a unique in question and a suggestion for it, pls state it and the reason.

Justification:
1) This hat currently is only useful for a Convictor build, where elemental-procs on gear provide damage. However, the hat barely suffices by A3 NM, so should be buffed.
2) 30% Fire resist on the hat should be replaced with absorb, since absorbs are the only thing characters might need at level 74. Even then, they'd probably just use a couple dwarfs for 2x20% fire absorb, since those are much more common than this hat.
3) I've requested at least 1 extra socket because sockets are the only way a convictor can get ias, since he doesn't use Fanatacism, and no Convictor-friendly weapons before level 90 ("Zod" runewords) carry any ias, except for the 20% on "Ice". If you'd rather just add ias to this unique, then please add 40%
4) I've requested extra % proc for Meteor because 12% is a bit low. At 12% for strike and struck, I can usually stack about 5-10 Meteors.

Justification:
1) Similar to the Dragonhead, this item is mostly useful to the Convictor class and no others. Like Dragonhead, there are few other shield-options, so it would be nice if this item were buffed.
2) Added Increased Chance Blocking since this is the only exceptional shield without it. It's hard for a pally to melee without good block %.
3) Removed the +40 Durability mod since this didn't have a noticeable effect.

<edit>Reduced the elemental damage added to attack, since it was probably too high for a level 60. It was 401-1400, while Dragonhelm is just 500-1000</edit>

Justification:
1) This weapon did a little of phys and a little of lightning. I'd like it to do a good amount of lightning at the expense of it's physical properties.
2) The durability on this weapon was the lowest (60) of all exceptional maces, and is the reason my Convictor never used it (also "Voice of Reason" was far better). Since it's a relatively fast mace it should be higher. At 160, it will be tied with the other 2 highest.
3) I removed the lightning resistance since it does not seem useful, and I was hoping that removing it would help justify the extra lightning damage.

Considering that, these boots really just have 10% absorb to 2 elements, standard FRWalk, and +1 Assassin skills... i.e. They're a buffed Tearhaunch but without the str/dex. Melee Assasins would benefit from the elemental damage as well.

totally disagree on this... ive suggested like 1000 times already to buff the hydra when struck o this weapon and mithia crown... hydra sorc is already 1 of the weakest build.
makes it ctc lvl50 hydra when struck instead of 25... in both items. lvl50 hydra w/o syns does nothing dmg... imagine the lvl25 lol and even with syns the dmg its pretty low. i have a hydra sorc and with max fire gcs and using +hydra ietms getting almost lvl70 hydra the dmg it barely ok... why remove the only items that makes it little ok?


and that +6-8 hydra its a wrong info.. max is +7 wich need to be fixed.

regarding unique throwing weapons used by barbs: set the double throw "noammo" column in skills txt to 1, this way barbs dont gotta worry about runnin outta ammo, or usin smith forges that only give back 255 max. another thing, change it so that missile skills DO NOT GRANT A %AR BONUS TO SKILLS!!, reason: any skillfunc that grants %AR to a missile does not apply, instead fix it to give flat AR, on that note %AR bonus' DO apply to missiles IF they are item mods

Set love

Un-nerf the Natalya's helmet stats bonus :
- Bnet : +(10-20) str and +(20-30) dex
- HU1.16 : + 30 str/dex (and set bonus +60 str/dex)
- HU1.2x : + 15 str/dex (set bonus +10 str/dex)... Stats bonus is lower than on Bnet if not using the full set.
I would "buff" it to +20 str and +30 dex, and +20 str/dex as set bonus.
Also, I think it would better fit in a Shako instead of this Hydra Skull.

Trang Oul's gloves :
Bring back its +25% to poison skill damage (another nerf below vanilla...).
(actually only a necro can have it since 1.2 because it had been made a full set bonus)

Increase the durability on nearly every item.

I know that you can cube and smith glyph items, but ever since the cube was made jumbo size it has turned in to a super hassle to actually do that.

It is bad enough that it costs an arm and a leg to actually repair things, but having to leave in the middle of the action to run back to town and repair your weapon is a real buzz kill.

It also crushes the viability of some items entirely. For example, I tried Blackbog's sharp on my rabies druid but the combination of a fast attack and 48 durability just made it super tedious to actually bother with the darn thing.

I would be perfectly fine with every weapon having over 100 or even over 150 durability. Especially when it gets late in the game and you are doing very fast attacks.

The reasoning behind this was to make it a necromancer exclusive thing rather than gloves used by every poison character in the game. I think that still makes sense especially since when this change was implemented psn boosts were added to all the other set items: Aldur's & Nat's boots have a great psn boost.

25% boost is like wearing a mini Bramble - is it really worth having that powerful of a boost to every character?

totally disagree on this... ive suggested like 1000 times already to buff the hydra when struck o this weapon and mithia crown... hydra sorc is already 1 of the weakest build.
makes it ctc lvl50 hydra when struck instead of 25... in both items. lvl50 hydra w/o syns does nothing dmg... imagine the lvl25 lol and even with syns the dmg its pretty low. i have a hydra sorc and with max fire gcs and using +hydra ietms getting almost lvl70 hydra the dmg it barely ok... why remove the only items that makes it little ok?


and that +6-8 hydra its a wrong info.. max is +7 wich need to be fixed.





hydra is already useless..... this makes it more of a druid weapon also..... plus pros are terrible.. they just cause extra counter.... if u want to buff hydra from something do it on mithias crown... trust me this needs to be removed...... the only reason I see using this item is for the charges.. and having +6-8 completely ruins it.

I am not sure I would want all those spells going off all the time during a boss fight. I suppose though you could just use this as a trash clearing item on a holy shock or conviction paladin.

ok blue my point in lightsabre is that no1 ever even use it or ever care about grabbing it from the ground.. its one of the most useless items, and like it names says LIGHTsabre, it should be more a lightning dmg and glowing sparkling that it is... 1-3000 light dmg instead of 1-500 and reduce the ed to 200% to "compensate" the high light dmg, also increase the ias... have u seen ever any lightning go slow? dont htink so. its just an idea that came to mind to add those procs to it.. since they dont even gonna do some dmg maybe with a dream helm should work good or in a holylight pally, and ofc its not a boss weapon, i dont think u want to use this instead of elemental weaver or a good LL weapon.

and for carrion wind... sux... i always played rabies druid and now i dont have one anymore, ofc it WAS rly OP but now sux rly bad... the actual rabies druid doesnt worth the big effort of tweak and pimp to make it a decent char; just look at psn necro... thats OP and no1 says a shit about it. giving back the carrion bug but with 25 instead of 33 just makes a little diference, and gives u the oportunity to decide go with carrion and make it phy/psn hybrid or go half summon and maxing the psncreeper

ok blue my point in lightsabre is that no1 ever even use it or ever care about grabbing it from the ground.. its one of the most useless items, and like it names says LIGHTsabre, it should be more a lightning dmg and glowing sparkling that it is... 1-3000 light dmg instead of 1-500 and reduce the ed to 200% to "compensate" the high light dmg, also increase the ias... have u seen ever any lightning go slow? dont htink so. its just an idea that came to mind to add those procs to it.. since they dont even gonna do some dmg maybe with a dream helm should work good or in a holylight pally, and ofc its not a boss weapon, i dont think u want to use this instead of elemental weaver or a good LL weapon.

and for carrion wind... sux... i always played rabies druid and now i dont have one anymore, ofc it WAS rly OP but now sux rly bad... the actual rabies druid doesnt worth the big effort of tweak and pimp to make it a decent char; just look at psn necro... thats OP and no1 says a shit about it. giving back the carrion bug but with 25 instead of 33 just makes a little diference, and gives u the oportunity to decide go with carrion and make it phy/psn hybrid or go half summon and maxing the psncreeper


ardual icon... good one.. but perhaps 1-2% ctc lr instead of 10% its way too op.



my changes to carrion wind where nice :) urs are terribly over powered.

3 ) Amulets - Are you trying to make every amulet about as strong as a Maras or what? And the level requirements on them... pfft. Too low for what they offer.

I actually used lightsaber on my druid. The speed and mana leech were nice and the lightnight would sometimes finish off the weakened mobs from my psn. I used it on a merc too, but I admit I only did so because I didn't have better things.

Heres a current list of ALL unique helms/armor that could use an over-haul.

****NORMAL CLASS: All normal class helms besides these listed could use a change:
Tarnhelm
Undead Crown

*Every normal class helm is easily passed up for even the simplest of 3 socket regular helms w/ 3x diamond chips/flawed (melee)or 3x sapphire chips/flawed (casters)...not to mention low level gambled max damage jewels. Or even just an Infernal set cap.

****EXCEPTIONAL CLASS: All exceptional class besides these could use a change:
Rockstopper (DR%, resists)
Diamond Star (good caster helm/ resists/ 2x sockets)
Vampiregaze (DR%, resist, +1 necro/+3-4 DK/ +3-4Bone armor)

*Every other exceptional class helm can be EASILY substituted by using a NAJ circlet (lvl 45) or a Tal's mask (lvl 60) mostly because of the sockets in my opinion. Or a crafted blood helm by this time in the game.

****ELITE CLASS: Most of the elite class are good

*Most of the elites helms are pretty nice for what they are used for. Kira's Guardian, Crown of Ages and Griffon's Eye taking most the attention away from the rest of the group.
However, Harlequin Crest, Dragonhead, and Steelshade are pretty useless and I don't personally know of anyone who makes any use of them.


-----ARMORS-----

****NORMAL CLASS: All normal class besides these could use a change:
Rockfleece (DR%, low req., STR/VIT, FHR)
Rattlecage (5%cb, resists)
Heavenly Garb (+mana, FCR, resists, mana regen)
Silks of the Victor ( +1skills, +life, resists, DR%)

*Every other normal class armor has the same problem as the normal class helms. Using chipped/flawed, diamonds/sapphires in a 3 socket armor found on ground or bought at merchant beats most of the low lvl ones. Socketed Blood craft also beats them. Arctic Furs armor is hands down better than most of the LOW lvl ones, while Angelic set or Civerbs armor is better for the stuff around lvl 17-19 up to at least rockfleece.

****EXCEPTIONAL CLASS: most are decent as they are

* The few exceptional armors that could use a change are: Spirit Forge, Crow Caw, and Skulder's Ire

**All of the other exceptionals have something "special" about them that allows for certain builds to make use of them (at least for a little bit).
ie: Spirit Shroud (cannot be frozen at lvl 46), Skin of Flayed One (dual leech, repair duribility, replenish life +30), Shaftstop (30%DR at lvl 58), etc..

****ELITE CLASS: most are good how they are

* This is the really tough part. So many of these elites seem to have been on the right track but just fell short of shining bright enough to be useful.

** The few that may need to be tweaked to make them considerable to use are: Wyrmscale (maybe 3 sockets in it instead of 2), Gladiator's Bane, Radamant's Vale (why is there +10 bone armor Oskill on item specific to necro builds), Hatestorm Crest, Trapper's Catch, Darkfear, Arkaine's Valor.

***These armors listed could be VERY interesting to certain builds (since they seemed to be tailored in that way) BUT they were just missing the "special something" that they needed to be used instead of the more "All-Around" useful armors like Glassglare, Leviathan, or even Corpsemourn (melee waiting to use Levi/Tyreal) for example.

Hirelings being able to equip charms?

OR HOW ABOUT THIS???

Wouldn't it be fun and interesting to have "totem" items (like charms) drop from certain superuniques or sub-bosses (IN HELL) that give you a "pet" of either one of these types of options (1 per character of course):

A) a STRONG version of a regular monster in that act to fight with you (with a unique rolled name)
OR
B) a WEAK version of the sub-boss that drops the totem (Seriously, how fun would it be to have a Sszak, Chimera, or Juggernaut running around with you)

**Once they die, they can either: (one or the other)**

A) be repaired (durability as life)
OR
B) need to be re-farmed from the monster that drops them

This idea is just for the sake of fun and i think would create another element of trade across the realm.

I agree w/ amulets being able to use some buffs... BUT keep in mind, farming LEO in HELL drops all these and would totally kill the point of trying to find/roll/gamble rares or crafting ammys

Keep in mind a lot of things like elemental damage and other values are capped... A lot of values are "capped" I think lightning maxes out somewhere around 1000... I know that's kinda useless

I wish you would consider the impact of "pet totems" in the future... it works great in Rappellz and would be an interesting thing to include into the diablo world especially if you could farm or re-name them to level up and trade.

For the love of God people, LESS CTC PROCS! The game already seriously lags in some places at it is, we don't need even more graphical spam. Less ctc mods and more just plain added damage mods. I know it's great to have a bajillion novas and junk come off you 24/7, but it's just not worth it.
