How's about adding additional bonuses to crafting. For instance maybe a low percent chance to craft something Unique, powerful or maybe just with there name + some weird bonuses.

Crafting could be a good direction to spice the mod up as it's pretty basic at the moment.

That sort of change implies more of a massive overhaul... There's only room for 5 automods in craft recipes (most of which slots are already taken for all the craft recipes). For the reason of cubemain.txt hardcoded limitations such a change isn't really feasible.
