As a supporter of the avenger, i think a good end-game zod RW and a few tweaks to the skill numbers would make it perfectly viable.

Something in the likes of:
Increase Vengeance elemental damage at end levels by about 30% (Or increase a lot the synergy value on the holy auras, making the build strong but extremely skill point dependant), to make it a viable boss killer.

And a zod RW.
Im not very good with this, but lets try:

Vindication:
5os Swords/Hammers/Scepters
Vex Ohm Zod Lo Ber

+3 to all skills
500-575% Enhanced Damage
65% Increased Attack Speed
+20 to Vengeance (Oskill)
250-500 Cold Damage
250-500 Fire damage
1-500 Lightning damage
15% deadly strike
15% Mana Stolen per Hit
1% crushing Blow
+15% Cold Skill Damage
+15% Fire Skill Damage
+15% Lightning Skill Damage
Indestructible

Op? Terribly OP? Gamebreakingly Op? Opinions please ^^

Not sure about the Convic oskill or why this would have oskills at all if its for one build. They'd be capped at +3 for pally.

-10% enemy fire resist
-10% enemy lightning resist
+10% Cold Skill Damage
+10% Fire Skill Damage

Runewords have a max of 7 extra affixes + what runes grant. 11 there.

Yeah, but vengeance and conv as Oskills would open up some alternative builds for w/e char, and i do know it would only give 3 points ot the paladin.

What i did not know, tho, was the 7 affixes limit. Lets remove the pierce, LR should make up for it.

Now we have 8, removing the attack speed would suck since IAS is awesome. Removing the LR leaves the item with no flavor at all.
Lets take out Conviction and leave Vengeance there.
Now we add 5% extra elemental damage to make up for the conviciton loss and we get....:

Vindication:

If you look at most of the Zod runewords may as well pump the OSkill to +20 since it won't do much damage on anything other than a pally anyway. Most of the damage from that skill comes from the synergys. It isn't one of the one point wonder skills.

vengeance multiplies your physical damage, max dmg/ed is actually better than pure elemental.

Youre right, my mind refuses to think big numbers sometimes.
Ill change it to +20 Vengeance.

Only other place I see this being of great use is a sorc who maxes 3 Ele Masterys Armor and Enchant maybe. In fact I'd take off the LR and add another +3 to skills. Arduals Icon is a pretty good source of LR.

Wouldn't +3 all skills make it a bit overkill(no pun intended) for pallies? 3 skils on top of all that...

With the scepter I suppose you could get a +9 to Vengence... which is 4 above Astreons.... Astreons also has pierce and this has +Skill Damage IDK I'm finding it hard to think the final product in my mind should be something along the lines of

I do think all resist on top of all that offensive power is indeed overkill... Id satay with the +3 skills instead.

With the runes being used in it. I think it's allowed to be a bit strong it is for end game afterall.

Hey guys! I play an Avenger/Conviction Pally every ladder for the last few years and thought I woould give my two-cents. Here is what I would propose:

+3 All Skills
500-575% Enhanced Damage
65% Increased Attack Speed
+2 to Vengeance
+2 to Conviction
15% Life Stolen per hit
15% Mana Stolen per Hit
All Resistances +20-30%
Level 5 Fanatacism Aura on Equip

The extra elemental damage is minor compared to what you are doing with Vengeance anyway. The dual leech helps since you can't socket this with any skulls or amns. The DS and CB are OK but would prefer the Fana aura as an alternative. Also, not sure if the Vengeance attack was rolled back to its former state (single target - high dmg) or if it is still single target (moderate dmg) and some splash dmg. Not real thrilled with the splash dmg and would prefer a roll back to the previous mechanics. This may be OP, but is is supposed to be an endgame Zod RW. Thoughts?

my thoughts are getting a zod really isn't that hard. 2 chams for example is enough and you'll see depending on ur luck 4-10 a season on just 1 char. The fact that everyone wants to create these Omg wtf uber zod runewords is outrageous since we just had to tone down a zod runeword because it was OP and every fire druid had 1.

Imo : Make this a caddy end game scepter. just as rare to drop as a zod or 2x cham if not more.
