So I bring this up again. I suggested a fix to it before this patch, but it was too late, as I was told. So I suggest it again.

Here's some info about it, if you want to read up on it:

According to this, Inferno does half the listed damage. Some places say 1/3, but if you read through it, you can see they tested it well enough (if anyone wants to test this with me, I'm up for it). I doubt the bug itself can be fixed, but you can fix the damage display to show the true value.

http://phrozenkeep.hugelaser.com/forum/ ... 12&start=0

According to this, you just need to divide the displayed damage in the skill description with 2 or 3, and you get the real damage. I've never had an Inferno sorc or an Arctic Blast druid, so I don't know if the damage is good enough as it is. If it isn't, it could get a damage boost too and/or a wider range.

I believe this wouldn't be hard to implement, yet it would be a great thing. All those high numbers are deceiving on these skills.

A little bumping; this would be a great fix in my opinion, especially compared to the effort needed.

I am not sure that skill descriptions can be fixed serverside.

I can put a 3 in the ddam calc in skillsdesc.txt I suppose, but I worry about what this might do and what bugs it might introduce, so unless you want to single player test it a bit and verify it won't cause problems I am inclined to just leave it as is.

In short - it doesn't seem like a simple fix for someone like me. Someone with modding experience like PureRage perhaps, but that isn't me.
