completely remove them from the game... take out the skill point slot and throw it at the bottom of the screen

replace it with a lvl 95 skill

15 minute cooldown
1 point to it = 5% chance of success
2 = 10% and so on until 20 = max anything higher is negligible I realize this will be a one point wonder but meh

and have the skill cast town portal :)

or just replace it with some low end aura type deal that helps out in a minor way I do however like the aspect of some super skill :)

I've been looking at other mods and taking bits and pieces might actually be nice ^^

Anything like this would just make all boss fights a joke. And everyone would make druids.

err. I find ravens to be quite useful. Having a druid in the party can mean that bosses never heal. They often can be sort of a tanking thing too in some situations. I never verified it, but it always seemed that Sammy was a bit easier to deal with when he had ravens around and their almost zero mana cost made them crazy easy to spam.

The only problem I had with them was the MASS counters they cause if you happen to have them all up at once (9 now) on certain bosses.

Id rather it was a single raven and the damage multiplied by 9 (later).

ya - they do diddly for damage. I have no idea where in the txt file their dmg is located, but it couldn't hurt to boost it a bit. I still find them pretty handy though.

Sure - go ahead and give that a whirl. Then come back here and let me know what the dmg values are for them ;)

One interesting thing though from visiting that page, is I wonder if you could put a 0 in the "killable" colum and make them immortal. That might actually be sort of handy. You could then drop the max summon of them down to 3 as they would just be permanently with the druid.

from my windy atm:

1 point ravens:
level 13
19-33 damage
24 hits
9 ravens

=456-792 per raven for a 1 point investment and at only level 13.

I'd say they are ok myself atm, though a small damage hike wouldn't be game breaking.

@Blue, are the ravens killable? Sometimes they seem to be unkillable but sometimes not.

ya - I didn't think they were until I started using them as distractions against Sammy. He would eat up my wolves far too fast for the mana cost, so I switched to ravens to give him something to look at in between the times I was hitting him with rabies. The ravens would grab Sammy's attention and he would stop chasing me and swat the pretty birds. They got knocked down long before they could get in their 24 hits.

I think it may depend on what type of attack a monster can perform and it is possible that only certain attacks can hit them. Never really investigated them that much.

well i've seen them disapear a few times on certain bosses with huge aoe attacks. (diablos flame nova). I asumed they had just used up all 24 hits. I didnt resummon them as they were causing some counter issues. I think reducing the number and increasing the damage to fit would be helpfull though. the mass of tiny little hits makes them not worth the effort. I'd use them on bosses alot more if not for that.
